I thought the only thing you doctors had to do was to write illegibly
Oh and a PS from the last conversation
The park which was next to the site of the London Eye used to be the assembly point for a lot of the protest marches in London in the 70's & 80's ( after we emerged from the "Hole in the wall" pub under Waterloo station )

I have perfected that art! when I'm writting in notes I write legiably to for words that I know how to spell and if I don't know then I obsure the letters that I'm sure about. I didn't bother with handwriting classes at primary school because I knew that I wanted to be adoctor and I didn't think I had to.
I always write the names of drugs in capitals and look up the spelling unless i'm very sure of it. When I'm learning the correct dose of a drug then I learn the spelling as well. The problem with spelling is that I'm sure that eventually we'll get computerised notes.

It was a fluke, Amy, getting here first. I just happened to be at my PC as the converstion list updated. Normally I would have been heading for bed at the time. But I was waiting for H to come in as he had been at a company meeting.
Got this woman coming this afternoon to do an interview for a survey on convertibles.

I hope you hold out for more than just £10 for your time Caer. I'm sure H wouldn't let you get away with charging that little.

I'm trying to put some thoughts together on what a computer bug is - and what it isn't. Your views would be welcomed. Your views with references to academic works would be even more welcomed.

HUmm I'm have a go Amy, has anyone got thoughts on the postive predictive value of microscpoic haemauria as a marker for urinary tract carcinoma?
No?
I'll go to the library and do some work then. See you online in about 30 minutes.

I couldn't tell you, Z but I suspect 'Miyanaga N et al: Urinary nuclear matrix protein 22 as a new marker for the screening of urothelial cancer in patients with microscopic hematuria. Int J Urol 6:173-177,1999' might offer some insight.

Coniraya Posted Sep 3, 2003
Z, I would have thought that in persistent haematuria, urinary tract carcinoma would be an indication of the cause and therefore definitely of predictive value. But then I trained at a hospital that specialised in cancer treatment and just about every other new patient was diagnosed wth the disease, with the effect that I now always assume the worst.
Amy, not much help with bugs, I just know to download patches and updates at regular intervals. Some of the biggest patches I download are for Diablo II for online gaming.
Phil, I didn't check what sort of voucher it was, but £10 would get me a just under a third of a tankful of petrol. Cheap petrol is always high on H's list of priorities

Caerwynn, there's good evidence that visable haematuria is a postive sign of cancer, "cancer until proven otherwise". But quite a lot papers have been published suggesting that micrscopic haematuria isn;t predictive. IN fact one paper was written by a doctor who had it and decided not to be invesitgated himself because he concluded that it was unlikely to be a sign of a disease.
But microscopic haemuria in an adult over 50, according to The Two Week Cancer rule, gets an urgent hospital referal within two weeks.
ANyway I really must go to university and get on with this project it's self.
