Is the trench coat thing a reaction to Columbine?

Before I forget, I had a really strange dream last night. I was scuba diving with Styx the Rat. It was very interesting, we saw lots of fish. Styx has his own drysuit. smiley - weird

Yeah, the trench coat and dyed hair thing is an overreaction to Columbine--speaking of which, if anyone here hasn't seen Michael Moore's Bowling For Columbine, they should.

When it comes to ice cream, I love a root beer float. I don't know what that means sexually. smiley - erm

I missed that film. It was a shame. I will probably have a look for his book in the library, I love Micheal Moores TV show.

The in the fiddles subject line back there has just caught my eye. Over the weekend while in the car we were listening to one of the cds of 'The Granite Years' a best of by The Oysterband, a UK folk rock group. One of the tracks is called 'The Oxford Girl' and is their take on the other side of the tale of one of the traditional songs. From conversation there, in an idle moment at work today I looked up to find where the original song comes from. It's all related to a group of songs which according to the website I found are related to some bluegrass fiddle tunes. The songs - The Bloody Miller, The Wexford Girl, The Knoxville Girl, The Prentice Boy - all deal with the tale of boy meets girl, boy and girl get together, boy ends up murdering girl rather than marry her, boy gets sent down/hanged (and if you're wondering the basic song/tune dates back to the 1680s).
smiley - musicalnoteI never had a chance to prove them wrong. It's always them that writes the songsmiley - musicalnote

A has, though I don't know how to work them. Good idea, and the shop I live above does a side line in video rentals, i shall have to pop down, as soon as they've forgiven me for flooding them enough to take my money

Mmmm. Root Beer Floats. One of these days I'm going to drive up to Mac's restaurant, and have one the way he described them. I'll say hello to Carmel Bunny while I'm there.

Amy, I've had strange dreams too. Maybe we're affected by the nearby (more nearby than usual) Mars...

Here too. I've always had strange dreams. But never with Styx. smiley - laugh Sorry, Amy, but the thought of it cracks me up. A tiny little ant riding around on Styx.

Ok, so Sonic isn't particularly classy, but have you tried their coconut cream milkshake? It's right tasty.

I had a dream I was arguing with George Bush on the merits of the NHS.

I worry about myself I really do, the ex, thought it was hilarious.

I think I convinced him in the end. She (my ex) asked why I didn't ask about Iraq, I must have subconsciously thought that the health service was more important.
