Well, yes, just like a phone booth except very much larger and, erm, and the people you're talking to are in the booth with you. Right.
I'm off for the night, now. See you tomorrow!

I could see Ron living an alternative life style in that he would be an environmental warrior. As Hermione seems to have an eco conscience too, she would be a natural partner.
Fred and George are too much fun to abandon once the HP series ends. It would be great see them in more adult books causing mayhem with their joke shop. Of course they would be multi millionaires by then

And they would eventually anchor Diagon Alley and develop the economic clout to take on the Ministry of Magic. Imagine the political tales as they wrest power from Fudge and come face-to-race with Percy.

Just finished my second reading this morning when I should have been sleeping.
It is interesting that someone would bring up F&G as I was going to talk about how much more important their characters are in this book.
I like how they were chomping at the bit to join the Order. I aslo like their revenge on the evil Umbridge. The bit with the swamp was excellent.
The more I read into Harry and Cho's relationship, the more I think it over. I still want to see Harry and Ginny hook up in one of the last two books, but I am well infected by the fanfic that I have been reading.

I think it's going to be Ron and Hermione (its been happening since the first book, all that backbiting and sniping), but I think Harry will hook up with a new student, one who has some sort of dark secret. Like Snape's her father or something.

I'm having a very hard time seeing snipe getting with anyone to produce offspring.
I am also looking forward to a real duel between Harry and Malfoy the junior. I think that there will have to be something major between them. Other than Malfoy as part of the Inquitorial Squad, I don't think there was enough of him in the last book.

Back when he was in Voldemort's service, he hooked up with someone. The catch is, Harry's girlfriend knows, but Snape doesn't.

Hmm. Here is a thought.
We know that nearly every Dark Wizard in the UK was part of the Slytherin house. But not everyone in that house is a Dark Wizard. Perhaps Dumbledore put Snape into a position to be indoctrinated into the Death Eaters but was never truly a Dark wizard. We do know that Snape is an excellent Occulmens and could possibly have hidden that he was spying for Dumbledore from Voldemort.
That also makes me think about how Hermione is able to say Voldemorts name now. I know that it is ingrained in the Weaslys to not say his name aloud. But Harry has been able to say it forever. Perhaps part of Voldemorts power will be nutralized by the common wizard not fearing his name so much.

Blimey - are we onto speculation about book 6 already?
Given the fairly obvious parallels between Harry Potter and Star Wars, I think the only logical conclusion is that Voldemort will in fact turn out to be Harry's _real_ Dad.

There's something in that. We were after all introduced to the idea that Harry's dad was Not Such A Nice Person.

ya but we know voldermort was Tom Riddle...not James Potter...we already have v's back story of sort...I like the fact that Harry was giving a defence class...you think this will be setting him to take the job when he gets out of school makeing him Snapes peer and all that

Yeah, that's a bit of a problem, but I'm sure there must be a way round it.
**tries not to be too geeky about this**
We know Voldemort is a generation older than Potter Snr., as the Chamber of Secrets was first opened 50 years before the second time. Hence, it could be quite possible for a wizard of Riddle/Voldemort's capabilities, once he'd become powerful, to invent an age-shifting potion, or spell, and become young again (or for that matter do the old trick with the polyjuice), and return to school as James Potter.
I appear to be quite good at evil plans...

Only because Voldemort 'left some part of himself in Harry'.
Now this could be because of the fairly tenuous idea from Dumbledore, that this was due to the attack, or from the more obvious reason that Harry is in fact Voldemort's son.
This idea appears to be gaining credibility.

I do think that Snape is going to turn out to be a goodie rather than a baddie and a spy for Dumbledore.
I'm sure that once he has got out a bit more and Hermione has had the courage to introduce him to L'Oreal's excellent hair care products, he will brush up quite nicely.

tacsatduck- beware the <sheep> lie Posted Jul 5, 2003
I think Snape will turn out to be what he seems rather then what role Harry and company think of him...that while he leans more towards the umm dark side of the force he isn't all bad and Dumblebubba has really good reasons for trusting him...I think in the end that Malfoy will turn more like snape in that way instead of following his papas foot steps...and I hope Harry grows up some more over the summer holidays (well over his summer holidays storywise)...he was "whineing like a Yankee"(line from the movie I woke up to this morning)

It is very strange for a childrens book character to elicit so much emotion. This is true for two particular characters to me in book 5.
Snape becomes something of a tragic hero and Unbridge is a nasty evil woman that we all seem to dislike intensely.
