The missing post F38024?thread=2395797&skip=1940&show=20#p31457404 is back, and I received the following from h2g2 feedback:
"We've had a few posts referred by the moderators, in error. However, we have now reinstated the post as requested." It was cc'd to the Moderators and to h2g2 Feedback.
Does anyone else think that this is too vague to be satisfactory? I cannot face doing anything about it - the Italics have better things to do than deal with whines from me, but I am left itching with curiosity and thinking that unless there's a damn good explanation somewhere, then it's a pretty poor show.

Joseph Heller wrote in Catch-22 that the war was actually controlled by the clerks in charge of the copiers. For many years after that I lived with the realization that most aspects of my life are controlled by 19-year-old office staff. Why should Hootoo be any different?

Well if Affy's doing post-Lenten posts, perhaps I should too. I still haven't had any alcohol (but I will tonight). However, I do not intend to catch up with 46 days' worth (no, not 40, count them if you don't believe me) of missed .
for FG.
Rosemary's post reminded me that I slept in a sleeping bag on a foam matress on the floor for a couple of weeks, whilst getting round to getting a bed. I didn't find it too bad.

Wow... Fifth LED is probably the latest I've arrived at a new thread.
Curse my current lack of interwebnet time!

Ben, I've had two posts removed by the eds recently that didn't contain anything blocked by the filter. I wouldn't bother asking them about it - I did and either got personal abuse back or nothing at all. It is a pretty poor show all round and has left me almost, but not quite, wanting to give up h2g2 altogether. If I didn't care about the people here I think i *would* leave.

Real Life Comics: finished!
Although, to be fair, he didn't update as often as he should've. No real challenge to get through those.

Well, I suspect that the Italics are under pressures we wot not of, to be honest Kelli, which is why I am willing to cut them a bit of slack and trust them to get on with it.
Also, as I've said on my personal space, I don't really care any more.
You guys are the reason I'm here.

This talk of bad nights' sleep must be having some sort of Influence ... I found myself sandwiched between three-year-old son and rather older husband at around 3am this morning, with one of my arms lifeless (because OSH was slumbering peacefully on it) and no room to move. But I was too tired to wake up properly and sort it out (ie, remove OSH to his own bed) - so I didn't manage to sleep very well. For a small person, OSH takes up an awful lot of bed.

I must tell you all about a bed experience I had........
A few years ago, Lord C. and I decided to take Amtrak (train) west from KS to Las Vegas. We rented a compartment because I really didn't want to spend 24 hours in coach. The compartment chairs fold down and up into bunk beds. The kicker is that the top bunk is so close to the ceiling a person would hit his/her head on it if they sat up suddenly. Soooooo, Lord C and I spent two nights on the bottom bunk--head to toe. He is 6'1" and I am 5'2". My shortness is probably the only thing that saved us!
The return trip included enough bourbon and coke that we didn't care.

yes but thats typical of the style of reply they tend to give got a few posts pulled of a reply to me never saw it was never told what it was and was on a personal thread that was convivial.Plus some on ican and the defunct more writing, some being cross posted from hootoo. and 360
Perhaps the verb "to have" and party appeared to close together lucky you never finished with extreme felicitations to all.
Still cant think of worst night sleep yet all i can recall is lyeing paralyesed/numb from neck down in teen suffering from not oregano effects. Even sleeping outside gar de nord in Nov 72 was cofortable, think must be living with cats to much be cofortable on a clothes line

, FG!
Worst night? Night train - delayed, too, en route - from Madrid to Barcelona, Mrs SG V & I and a Spanish family of 6 in a compartment for ... 6. Plus whenever the two littlest finally slept, some of the older kids wanted to move places to sit better - and thus woke up the small ones.
Or a night in a tent - on a stubble field (you know, where the last cm of the rye/barley/whatever stems are still there, now dry and hard). Ouch...
'night!
PS 78 hours and counting to start of BIG, major scouting event. We'll panic, don't worry... but hopefully get it all halfway right.
