Here it is typical Danish April weather: Coolish, windy, a bit of sun, a burst of hail, sunny streaks, rain, black clouds, blue sky, all within a couple of hours.

You think I want this snow Hyp? What I want is to wear shorts and sandals. I wouldn't say I've had a lot of snow Ben, I just complain the most when I get it.

Right now I'd welcome about anything with some moisture in it.

I turned the pilot off on the wall heater yesterday and am now leaving some of the doors open all night to let deliciously cool night air circulate through the house. By three in the afternoon, I have to close the west end of the house against the heat. If this trend continues, it will be time to run the air conditioner in the office...
Serephina, I'm so glad you've finally made it into the salon proper. There's a samovar over by the butler's hatch if you like tea, and coffee pots, and Matina has made fresh cinnamon buns.
My back and feet are twinging with sympathy over these tales of evil beds, ancient beds, beds for dwarves... and the story of the whiny sister reminds me of a time when another karateka and I went down to Miami to help out at a tournament, and took a 16-year-old student with us. The three of us were in a room with two beds. V and I took one bed on the first night, leaving the other bed to the student, with the understanding that she would be going home at the end of the next day.
What the student then did was deliberately lock herself out of her room so that she could stay in Miami a second night. God, I wanted to kill her, as she flopped into the second bed by herself that night. She had also obliged us to leave the post-tournament party early on account of her being 16 and trying to get ... well, she was pestering all the male black belts.
And then she sang and chattered all the way back in the car, so that I couldn't even get any sleep then. *gets angry all over again just remembering the weekend*

Worst night of sleep is an easy call for me. Very recently I had a sleep study to diagnose my sleep apnea. I was wired up like a 10th grade science fair poject and I slept nary a wink.
I must say that one of the best nights of sleep I've ever had was in the Wultan of Brunai's suite in Scenic New Mexico, even if the bed was too soft for my taste. I am fairly sure it wsa the lack of urban noise that allowed me to sleep so soundly.

I can't talk about it yet, but I really, really need a big group hug right now.

Back at uni now.
most uncomfortable night? probably sleeping on my bedroom floor here with roll mat and sleeping bag: I've been more comfortable in a tent.
Key: Complain about this post
