Not regretting eating at all. One should never start any sort of escapade without a good meal. Fortifies the spirit and enlivens the soul.
*Peaks out at the view as they move out of the ford* I'd forgotten quite how nice the view here were.

*spots the cottage from the air*
It's not far now. Perhaps we should stop and discuss a plan of attack.

sea! Cool Whip is ~not~ whipped cream. It is a whipped topping that resembles whipped cream.
Caer, I'm making a bed throw. It's a simple rectangle, so just back and forth I go.
Carmel, let me know if the knitting gets in you way. Do you need a marking pen?

I have received intelligence (and not before time, I hear you cry). There is an entity called rebjello here: U195216.

Whoa Bonnie, whoa Clyde!
I say, that's not the cottage, that's just one of the outbuildings. It was fair snowing when we all last came through here, but I remember that the cottage was among yon tinsel trees. Look here, there are drag marks on the road and a couple of broken slates.
*to himself* They've kidnapped the Lurkers Cottage as well!
Ho, Miss Amy, you ought to be able to see the spoor of the cottage from up there -- looks to me like it's been taken up the mountain.
Would any of the passengers like to take a break before we move on? Bless my soul, where did the other pup go?

*looks around, squinting at the stand of tinsel trees*
Looks to me like they all work together, ma'am. Gangs and ride-ups have territories, and there wouldn't be two bunches in the same place.

Hmmm... so if the cottage is gone, should we try the other two places mentioned on Rebjello's page - or could they be traps?

They moved the cottage? How can they move a cottage? Why didn't they move the "Trespasser's W" sign too?
/* Dismounts, and lifts Zeppo out of the saddle bag. Zeppo immediately runs for a tree. */

They must have worked real hard - the cottage was there less than 24 hours ago! <./>F90935?thread=186272</.>

I am so glad I have a bad memory or all this continuity would give me a sore head. Any old shoes, what I can work out is that we are to go to a cottage, which has moved, just pass the Trespassers W sign which we (was it me, I can't remember?) found when getting a tree at Christmas. At this cottage we should find clues and possible a desperate band of ruffians who may be holding Lil. Is this right or has my brain become scrambled going through that ford? If so, who inhabits this cottage, have we yet found a fake manual to entice the desperados with and should I be taking notes?

*laughs and slaps the stock of his winchester*
You got it, Lord Scotsman! Sounds like you should be taking liver pills too! OK, let's mount up again and follow that house!
*laughs a lot more, vaults back onto Dandy, touches his hat to the ladies and urges his cowpony into a lope*

That little pug, Ruppy, seems quite happy there with Lizzy! Look at him enjoying the ride, WM.
I do hope Lil is ok and not being rough handled by that disreputable bunch.

No problem, sea. Can you tell I prefer the real McCoy when it comes to deserts?

*Climbs back onto his horse after sniffing around the old cabin site.*
Yup, it looks like the cabin got moved up the road. But it wasn't recently. Best I can guess is that it happened not long after we disturbed it in the winter. Guess the Lurkers don't like company.
Now if I remember correctly, we have to travel up the switch-back road from here and then there is a clearing and the road peters out there. Maybe that's where we'll find the cabin.
