Back to the previous conversation for just a moment...Lil, you're right, he *is* a politician. He was the head of the Montana chapter of Right to Life. Isn't it ironic that those who are in the "pro-life" movement always seem to hate other people once they are outside of the womb?
As for my politics, I look that quiz alluded to and I rated somewhere at the bottom of the grid. A Libertarian with decidedly Liberal leanings. In the last presidential election I wrote in Sen. John McCain as my canididate, with Sen. Russell Feingold as Vice President. I may not agree with either on all issues, but they're honest, they always say what they mean (always appreciated in a politician), and they wrote the campaign finance reform bill that the less-than-honest in Congress have been fighting for the last several months...

I don't have to take the quiz to know where I stand politically. I am a social liberal, for the most part. I, too, wrote in John McCain, although I left VP open.
Tonsils are still coming along. I called the doctor today about the fact that I don't seem to be getting any better, and he said be patient. Good thing he has a job he can step away from, eh?
(Sorry, feeling a bit on the hurry up and get over with side....I am not one for being down so much!)

Prague is wonderful Munchkin, isn't it - been there twice and April last year when I last went it was freezing cold and snowing, but still full of tourists...
Oh well, it's beautiful whatever the weather and crowd volume! Had a quick look at the pics - just as lovely as I remember it!
Did the politics quiz - but keeping the results to myself

I didn't follow that link but it sounds like it is the political grid. If so I'm in the left, bottom right- I'm somewhere between a radical democrat, a socialist, and a communist.

Well, if John McCain could get himself nominated, I would jump the fence in a New York minute and vote for him.
I need some help or advice here. After I got home from the final drawing class (one last A! Huzzah!!) and looked through my email, I found an email from a Tom Crowe saying how glad he was to see me at the SDYC last week, and would I like to meet for drinks some time. He said that if I like bike racing there is a drome at Balboa Park and he'd love to take me.
My questions are as follows: who is Tom Crowe? Where is Balboa Park? What is the SDYC? Why don't I know any of the answers to these questions?

I've had a quick look a the photos, Munchkin, and will take a closer look with a later. I would love to visit the city, but am concerned that H would't have much fun at meals, did the menus have veggie choices at all?
Two thirds through the Amber Spyglass, there seem to be loads of familiar threads through all the books, wish I knew more about the Classics.
Spoke to No1 son last night, he is fed up with all the rain in Wales. On the weather forecast this morning the strongest rain colours were right over his head. He is not coming home this Bank Holiday weekend as he has too much w*rk to do, with finals looming. So he is feeling thoroughly

Caer, Prague is not really the place for vegetarians. Could probably scrape past but they are very into meat and dumplings. Lovely they are too

I hope it doesn't rain all over the bank holiday weekend as I am hoping to see the planetary conjunction.
But I would rather also hope that Amy felt better as well

Lovely fresh air this morning after a rainy night - only low amount of pollen - I didn't even get breathless walking uphill...
Tonight the Swedes celebrate Valborgsmässoafton (something like Walpurgis night) and I tried to find information on the net - and stumbled over a hilarious article by Swedish author, journalist and historian Herman Lindqvist
...unfortunately it's in Swedish, but I've made a rough translation of parts of the article over here:

I enjoyed the article T.
Something similar happens here, as soon as British Summer Time arrives on the last Sunday of March. A mass exodus enusues to the DIY stores and garden centres by hardy types in shorts and T shirts regardless of the artic gale blowing . I call it Mad Fool Sunday

Happy skin-shedding, T! And Munchkin, the pics are wonderful
Lil, the Senate voted against drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge on 4-18-02; that doesn't mean they won't try another approach. Slippery those polititians!
Weather hot and dry here, air pollution high.

I think Prague is a lovely city - I visited it in late September - not quite as crowded, and still pretty warm weather...

I would have prefered McCain or Bradley over Bush or Gore. So I wrote in Bradley.
