Well, I managed to go 359 days in one year without doing the job of Usher in a church service then tonight happened and I Ushered 3 seperate services.
Now, being that it is nearly 2AM, I think I will go to bed.

Merry Christmas one and all!
...don't eat too much, so you can save me a mince pie!

Ormondroyd Posted Dec 25, 2005
I've had so many mince pies this year that I could write a dissertation on them. (Checks waistline) Must get back in the gym. Oh dear, what a shame, it's closed until Wednesday...
Anyway, sorry I haven't been around here much lately - I'll try to do better in 2006. May the holiday season bring all Salonistas what they want and what they need.

Just recorded the "Songs of praise" carol concert on BBC1, with Andrea Bocelli as one of the guests, love Christmas carols, who can't but like "In The Bleak Mid Winter".
A couple of years ago they showed The Three Tenors singing carols in Germany( I think). Not far off an hour an a half of great carols, great singing, all done with a touch of humour too!
.....just right to get you in the Christmas mood!
Might pop in later, off to work soon....

Just checking to see if we have any stollen left.
LTP, it is great to have you back in the Salon. We've missed you. And here's a candy cane to use as a stirrer for your tea.

ltp, good to see you here. And you too, Ormy.
I went to one party last night but couldn't find the second one.
Apart from meeting and some food prep this afternoon, I expect to spend the whole day in shamelessly irresponsible pastimes. Certainly, I'll look in from time to time. Happy Christmas to all of you!

Merry Christmas to all - lovely to see ltp and Ormy.
My assorted relatives have gone for a walk, in between courses, and I have stayed behind to do things to Brussels Sprouts and enjoy the relative P & Q for half an hour.
We always have a gap between courses so we are hungry every time we sit down again.
My broccoli and cream cheese soup was a success and the 'amuse bouches' of smoked salmon pate and spicy trout mousse seemed to hit the spot.

I had a slightly more eventful walk than I expected. I witnessed a hit-and-run accident. Everyone was OK but I stayed with the lady and waited for the police. Now I'm back in the Nest watching Casablanca .

A short hello - from my Mum's dial up which also tries to cope with an update to NIS...
Wonderfully relaxed Christmas yesterday & today Got great gifts - also over and above the iPod from me to me A great sweater that Mrs SG V has managed to knit over the last two months wihtout me getting a clue (hint: have I been travelling a tad much?), movies and a much missed lid to my big cast-iron frying pan/pot/whateveritiscalled
The iPod setup's working - now I just have to figure out how to make the kids' Nanos work off the same machine...
Oh, and Ag - could I have port instead of sherry?

Happy christmas to you all.
May the coming year bring you what you need, rather than what you think you want!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I managed to post after all.
Got some nice stuff. My stocking had a (non-Jigsaw) puzzle in it that I'd never played before! I can't wait until I have something that someone else wants so that I can say, "Well, very well...but only if you defeat me in this game of Strategy! Hit B to hear the rules, or A to begin playing!"
