Hati.
Amy, I think you should give him something in writing saying that he should remove the stolen paragraphs - as a cya move. And either cc it or mention it to your friend.

Wow, all of a sudden a wave of entities seems to have come on board and set the servers rocking back and forth!
I think that's very interesting what Sporky has said about the online gaming world. I wonder if it would make a difference if you could configure the game so that you only saw/interact with people over the age of, say, 30? Because the behavior you describe sounds immature, the actions of players who have never been introduced to or made to understand a social contract.
and sympathy for Hati -- can you eat soup?

i'm not even sure something like that would matter lil. something about mmorpgs... some people either get it, or they don't. most people play them in fads, as that's the popular game to play. i find that people with that sort of mind set are used to playing single player games, and they play mmorpgs in the same manner. who cares about the person behind that avatar? it might as well be any other NPC (non-playable character) to them.

Finally! Photos of the view, etc, from mine. In fairness, only 76, 80, 86 and 88 are actually from the house or the garden, the rest are from the walk Z and I took wandering out of the house today. 121 is the footpath leading up to the back of the house, and 129 and 130 are taken in the village, where I park my car each night.

Amy, could contact the thesis-writer and ask for the details of the references for the sections which are plagiarised?

Lovely views!
I ate some soup, well, puree. I am allergic to bananas. Also I had some . But obviously not being able to eat normally makes me verrry hungry. I could eat a whole right now.

Very UK centric so apologies in advance to those elsewhere.
Amy
I think I'd be tempted to return it to him with a note of what you have spotted and pointing out that if you can see it, so will the markers.

I got 7/15 but a couple of the wrong questions were me being an idiot and not thinking clearly. I got most of hte UKian-centric questions wrong.

Gold! Thar's gold in them thar pages!
I'd say send it back to him. Tell him that it's unlikely that the thesis will pass the board with plagiarized material, and on top of that, he'll get penalized. He can rewrite it without the material, or reword every sentence.
I do love chicken/turkey noodle soup. I've found that it's a very messy soup... The noodles fly up and hit me in the lip, and little droplets of soup go everywhere. (I'm making myself sound like I eat Cookie-Monster style!) I think next time I try it, I'll use shells or macaroni - something that's not quite so floppy.
Two days on yogurt, Hati? Sounds just awful. You could always try pudding or ice cream.
> i fail to see the point of it, as i rarely received any help, wasn't asked to do anything, and we didn't do any instances. a glorified chatroom?
I know what you mean, Sporky. It looks like WoW is just a bunch of people fighting each other - where's the campaigns? The reason I wanted to play Warcraft online was to wage war with different people - not to go one-on-one and bash skulls.
