It's going to be a bad day. This morning while not eating anything with cheese in it for breakfast, I flicked on Sky News. Dubya was spouting away about how to stop global warming by increasing pollution. Sob.

*Stops, takes a breath, gets thread untangled.*
Okay, my last comment was about cheddar.
FG, I think I'm just a little jealous of you.

The reason I enjoy having a Palm (bought if half price from my brother, who got himself a new one trough w*rk) is that I can empty my handbag of so many other things:
Address book
Calendar
Alarm clock (on travels) or Reminder
Book (to read on the commuter train ride)
Note book
Calculator
Shopping list
...and then there are also the very addictive games, if I don't feel like reading... and no one can tell if I'm w*rking or having fun when I use it, unlike mobiles - if you see someone fiddling with a mobile you just know he/she is playing games...

Hello, DD. Long time no see. Are those Bond threads back yet? You know, the TDANE threads. That was one of the most fun things I've done on h2g2.
Regarding vaccinations. I have a couple of problems with them. The first is that they contain mercury and formaldehyde. It can't be good injecting that into a baby's system. The second has to do with the immune system. My memory is fuzzy, but as I understand it, there are 2 types of defense: antibodies to specific things and the general white blood cell, etc. defenses. Vaccines stimulate the antibody defenses, but not the other defenses. There is evidence that the other system benefits from some early challenges, such as the early childhood diseases, like MMR and Chicken Pox. With vaccination, the antibody system gets supercharged, but the other system languishes. Which can mean a higher susceptabilty to nasty things later in life. I had most of the early childhood diseases, as did most of my friends and never heard of any serious repercussions. Of course, if a kid gets one of these diseases, they need to be closely monitored in case it becomes serious, at which point medical intervention is necessary. But for the most part the diseases are not the big scary things that the vaccine companies and medical professions would have you believe. And, they just might be of benefit in the long run.

Indeed, Cabot cheddar and the valentine are both from Vermont.
But Cabot isn't solely from Vermont ! No, it comes from New York as well, but everything gets shipped out from Vermont.
I'm fond of extra sharp cheddar, although I'm not too fond of hunter cheddar. There's a strange flavour there.
Hootoo was acting strangely when I last posted, which was right after affy. In fact, the last five conversations I've updated don't show up as updated on my page (or other's - FG )

About half an hour ago the h2g2 database went down - I couldn't log in, and my user page looked unused... fortunately they fixed it pretty quickly!

Bond Threads were mostly archived on my Dad's PC next time I'm over there I will have to get a copy and carry on editing them.

Thanks for the link, DD. But what's it doing in Alabastard?
That intro is the same as what appeared in the Post, isn't it? That's where I first heard of it and when I read it, I was very impressed with the collaborative writing.

At one popint my cutting and pasting of those thread was over 120 pages in Word so I was attempting to trim it down and get rid of the surpurfluous space, before h2g2 went off ot enjoy Rupert and then I moved to Scotland. So it is still there waiting to be completed.

120 pages!
We WERE prolific, weren't we? I remember getting very excited as Bond was approaching the sawmill hideaway. We were both online at the same time and were trading posts back and forth and it was almost time for me to leave work. Quite a thrill.

Sorry SE, for being . It's my, rather h2g2's, fault. I keep getting "no replies" on my conversations.

Hum cheese, try, or rather try to avoid, something made from yaks milk, a delicacy in the Hindu kush - allegedly. Cant beat a good old athletic camembert, au lait cru - probably with a little lightly chilled gewurtztraminer
