Haven't read Goblet of Fire, goody or baddie?

Just from the name I could see the sons saying its type casting!

Just popping in for a mo. I am going in to work three hours late today to make up for the three hours that I had to stay late yesterday. My boss was not thrilled, but I hardly care.

Be careful, Marv. You don't want to find yourself without a job before you have a new one lined up.

Hey I am following their rules. They do not allow overtime, so I don't get overtime. This is an example of why their rules suck.

Snape is the potion's master. He is a really bad good guy, if that makes any sense.

OK I am now reading the first HP book. Does Hagrid come into play more than as a deliveryman?

I wouldn't say that Snape's a really bad good guy, myself. I'd say that he's a villain who knows where to draw the line.

Snape is the one reason that I enjoy the Harry Potter books from a writer's point of view. It's easy to write a villain like Draco Malfoy or Lord Voldemort, but Snape would take serious work to write.

Affi, I agree. As you read through the books, particularly the one that features Sirius Black, you realise that he has a coherent inner moral code. Coherent but quite tangential to most others...

That's what I like about Snape. He's the bad-guy you want to hate, but can't. Well, you can, I guess, but it takes a special effort.

Do you find bad guys more interesting than good guys?
