Oho,
Is that wise, Munchkin? I have a nasty feeling disaster is imminent.

Well, I don't want to go shooting off up there now do I?

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Oct 30, 2001
*now well off the ground*
*feet dangling*
*looks back*
*sees the net starting to s-t-r-e-t-c-h*

/* Jumps up and grabs Titania's foot, and hangs dangling. */
Something bothers me about this. Carmel Bunny said there's sometimes a strong updraft, sometimes the air is still. What happens if the air turns still?

Well provided the bolts hold it to the wall I shall land in this comfortable net. Which is nice, as I'm starting to rise quite high here. Those bolts will hold this net, won't they?

The bolts will hold in the rock, will the net hold on to the bolts?
You know, Up might equal Out.

*Feels something on his earlobe and is about to absently brush it off when he realizes what it is.*
Oh, eh? What? Oh dear!
*Grabs hold of d'E's foot, adding another link in the chain.*

*There is a sound very like a rope strand giving under strain, only much smaller*

Carmel Bunny, spokes stuffie for cute things everywhere Posted Oct 30, 2001
*barely audible* I...think...the...breeze...is...slacking...off...a...teeny...bit...
*wump* Ouch! I...seem...to...have...reached...the...top...

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Oct 30, 2001

The Ghost of Teenage Rebellion Posted Oct 30, 2001
*quite close by*
Hooks in you, hooks in me, hooks in the ceiling
For that well hung feeling
No big deal, no big sin, strung up on love I
Got the hooks screwed in...

I don't understand, the breeze is much less blustery, but I don't seem to be decending at all. Can you tug a bit harder?
*there is a long pause* Ah, I've found the problem, there are hooks in the ceiling and I seem to be caught....
RIP!
The Linen Closet
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Oct 30, 2001
*immediately lets go of the jute twine*
Oh my god - I hope that sound is not what I think it is...
CARMEL ! ARE YOU OK?

Bother, I seem to have shredded that poor little nurse's outfit. It looked quite fetching, too, I thought. The breeze is dying down quite fast, I believe. Try to reel me in, please.

What do you see up there? I've been thinking about where we are and this is the way I see it.
If Titania goes into the refrigerator, and the Lil and company go into the linen closet, and they go west, left, down, right, south, up, east, and over not necessarily in that order, and a train traveling nearby goes at 5 miles per hour, then where are they?
To which the answer is obviously beneath the former location of the Chesire Grin Inn. So Caerwynn is right, up may be out.

*Listens intently.*
Yes...yes, I think I can just hear....
a slow-moving train.
*Pulls on the foot he is holding*
