smiley - magic John Irving!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!
It's my favourite novelist!! I just love his books smiley - smiley

And no, 'The fourth hand' is not aviable wether in German nor in Polish smiley - sadface

I read some pieces, as I'm in a John Irving online fan club, so they send me some parts to read - sounds good.

I love 'Garp', but I prefer 'New Hampshire Hotel' - If u get the chance - read it - ot's great stuff! smiley - biggrin

I think I have read all Irvings exept :let me think...*E smiley - run to bookshelf smiley - run back* Ah, "Trying to Save Piggy Sneed" and "Setting Free the Bears". Says here he wrote a book called "My Movie Business". Don´t know if that´s a novel...

But he realy is a great author. I even like reading the translations. They are one of the best translated books available... The way he describes the most tragic situations, as if they were a box of choclates you have been waiting for: Just Marvolous...

And, I think Hotel New Hampshire is the best of them. Allthough I quite liked reading...all of them smiley - tongueout

Read this! http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F55683?thread=133655 Writing in German is going to be possible again! We *can* start right away but it's a good idea to give those volunteer translators a chance to work through the backlog first. Prost! Hooray :-)

(We have been asked to keep the German bits short until the system is up and running.)

BTW - Any of you can volunteer to be a Translator. You don't have to translate every posting, just say if it's offensive or not. Translations are only needed in cases where there is some doubt.

the more of us there are, the quicker the postings in German can go back online. So - off you go: send an e-mail to Peta or contact her at her page. ---> smiley - footprints
