Put one of those portable ice containers next to your computer - stocked with beer, of course!

Well, you would have to remember to put the icethingies into the fridge... And you need a little exercise, and the way to the fridge is the minimum..

... well and then put the fridge near your computer, than you can also open the door and you'll have allways fresh cool air ....

Has it started raining there? We had a very wet shower this afternoon.
I am away all day tomorrow. Choir outing to Altenahr/Ahrweiler. Looks like there's lots of eating involved.
Big Mad Mr T has just messaged me that he's off to the Manchester meet. That looks like fun! Granny Weatherwax is organising it and they're going bowling. Do we have a bowling alley at the Bulettenbude?

h2g2 is 'quite quiet' ATM, and I'm mostly off for the weekend too. That's summer, although Munich got its shower too. The sun will come back and as things are, I can go on the Autobahn without pouring sweat all over the car
A bowling alley? I never heard of that. If there is one then AXR has hidden it before our eyes

Morning Bossel
So where do you plan to go for the weekend?
Somewhere around Munich or what?
As for me, I'm looking outsideand see dark clouds... probably a rainy weekend it will be and - of course - the sun will be back on Monday, when I'm off to w*rk hehe!

My plans were to be on the road at 07:00 (ie, 10 minutes ago ) and drive halfway up through Germany before all the holiday traffic sets in. Holidays in 3 states are ending this weekend, and I want to be ahead of the wave.

Back from wedding. Seen quite a few people for the first time in a long time. We had good beer. If you get to Worms, go out to the Rhein and try the pubbrewery :Hagenbräu. The light beer has a "fruity" taste (but not to sweet etc, perhaps fruity is the wrong term) and the dark beer I tried has a very small "smoky" taste.
Well, I´m on holiday now! Here, Bossel, I will be in Munich on thrusday and friday (I guess only till morning) but I don´t know yet. Are you around? (We can do this off site, of course )

Btw: does anybody know "Rauchbier" ~ smoke-beer?
..now: Twist and shout
You can call me TC Posted Aug 5, 2001
I have heard of it. How would you make that, Engländer? Who makes it and is it worth it?
E - do you have an AIM handle. I keep forgetting to increase my buddies list - that is, I've no idea who I can put on it, because I don't know who has AIM.
And whose wedding was this?
Worms has some very good pubs and bars. With good live music. There is one place, I think it is called the Krone which is reputed to have a sort of lounge bar upstairs with cosy couches and dimmed lights. I can't find anyone to try it out with, though. And if I did, I would probably bump into my old colleagues from Lampertheim.
Shall we put a bowling alley in along next to the sharks' pool?
..now: Twist and shout
Researcher 168814 Posted Aug 5, 2001
It was my brothers.
I´ve got an AIM thingy, but I hardly use it nowadays...I´ve usely got it turned off.
How about putting the shark´s pool at the end of the bowling alley? If you need a bowlingball, all you have to do is take a dip in the pool...

The sharks at the end of the bowling alley? No please. I'm usually throwing 'Pudel' and would be the first to meet the sharks
Rauchbier, I know the term but haven't tested any. Its home is around Bamberg I believe.
And Thursday/Friday would be fine

Floh Fortuneswell Posted Aug 6, 2001
I've tested the Rauchbier from Bamberg. The brewery Schlenkerla has its own homepage where they describe the process.

It´s a matter of malt, I think.
Oh, I do hope the weather will clear up!
Hey, I´m just reading a good book again: The fourth hand by John Irving. "Garp" is one of the best known Irving books, but this ones good to. I don´t think it´s available in German yet.
