Batty, I'm drawing a comparison in reasons for joining the church, not between being gay and being a child molester! I don't equate the two but feel they may have similar reasons for joining 'the cloth'.

I agree. I guess my point was that no doubt the person in the article you posted no doubt turned to these skewed parameters to enforce her twisted view that gays are most likely to molest and are adopting so they can. But in the real world instead of a canned sample it is not at all more likely that a gay person will molest.

If anything a loving, balanced gay household would probably be a really good environment for a child to be adopted into. The parents are more likely to understand that feeling of being an outcast and being different that afflicts us all in our teen years, but can be especially harsh for someone coming to terms with their sexuality when those around them might not approve of it. There is a high incidence of suicide among gay teens because of this so someone who would have survived and come out stronger from that situation would be an exceptional parent, IMHO. Granted there's always exceptions but I'd have to say if I were an expectant mother looking for a good home to adopt my child a loving, balanced gay couple would certainly be a good candidate.
