The very first episode of Neighbours began with a dream sequence. Kind of set them up for the future really.

I regret to inform you that there are actually Australian viewers of these particular television shows.
I have teenage daughters who seem to enjoy this crap along with other similar crap such as : -
- 'Australian Idol' (bloody hell now they're inflicting us with 'American Idol' what next 'Pago Pago Idol' ?),
- 'Survivor' (on a 'tropical island', in the 'Outback' now a bunch of survivors are all getting together (for the camera - of course) to see who can out-survive the other survivors .... RIVETING eh !)
- 'I could go on about the DIY programs they watch - yet wouldn't have a clue how to replace a light-bulb - but hey I just did.....
On behalf of Australia and it's peoples, I appologise for this mind-numbingly crappy stuff.

I have an awful feeling that most of the current 'reality TV' ideas started out in The Netherlands!

There's so much more to add to the list!
There's the CRAP ones:
A Country Practice
Sylvanian Waters
Flying Doctors
Sons and Daughters
Then there's the slightly better ones:
Hey Dad!
Ocean Girl
Fast Forward
Humphrey B. Bear
And then there's the stuff that is EXCELLENT:
The 'D' Generation/Late Show (Bargearse/Rush)
Frontline
Mr Squiggle
DAAS Kapital
Any other aussies want to do any of these? I'm keen on most of the excellent ones... Any takers?
