Wow! Apart from the fact that you are Jewish and left-handed and a fan of baseball, I am shocked at how similar we must be... Politically and vegetarian-wise and in terms of interests in films and music and whatever. I haven't heard of everyone on your list of 'important folk' but I'll certainly go along with JKRowling...
Hmm, are you impersonating me? You want to be 'a writer- probably a journalist, to start'? Me too! That is what I always tell people when they ask me what I want to do! So yeah, write back because this is weird. I've never come across anyone I agreed with so much (I try to disagree with people initially as much as possible, on principle). I have to go now, since I leave for my first day at university at 6.00am tomorrow morning, and I'm slightly nervous about it.

awesome! this is curious, on h2g2 I meet lots of people who say they very much identify with this, whereas in real life I've yet to meet almost anyone who I think would fit this description. but it's exciting to me every time someone says this.... whereabout are you from? I'll be off to college ('university') next year, meanwhile impatiently I wait to finish high school...

I am from England, the South East of England, although now I'm living in Sheffield which is in the North(ish) of England. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I haven't been near a computer for three days. Why isn't there a smiley?

I can sympathize with that; last year I went away and was almost never on h2g2. But now I'm back and better than ever You're one of those as talks funny and has socialized medicine, excellent. I used to get excited meeting british people on H2G2 but then I realized that a)I'm surrounded by ya and b)I can't remember b but it was definitely as interesting as the rest of this posting.
Good luck at 'uni'!
