h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The School provides two main functions to the City.

All children and citizens of Warwickshire are taught all the basic skills they need for life.
Although the best of these pupils are hand chosen by the headmaster to proceed with further training in more magical studies.
Warwickshire gradutates a large number of apprentice mages but also all of the citizens and peasents are trained to a good educational standard.

The current Headmaster of the School is Koral.

*Although she had no intension of coming.. Lilandra stands in the road and looks at the damage caused to the newly renovated area of the school*


*She watches proudly as James directs his men, and often leads them into the building, returning carrying another injured child or workman away from danger*


*She is being buffeted by the crowds.. Lilandra does not like large crowds. She is from the forested regions and Elves love the freedom to roam ... with no restrictions*


*Smiles to herself and remembers when she and James used to ride out together on their adventures.. but now... James say they have responsibilities.. and one of them must remain to watch over the citizens of the Shire*


*She growls to herself in frustration!.. Pushes her way back through the pressing throng.. and attempts to make her way back towards the Castle*

*The captain is just trudging upto the school when he bumps into Lilandra, he is about to say something then just looks down at his feet and smiles apologetically. He still seems to reek of drink but has sobered now*

Sorry My lady..... Its getting a bit busy, here *he starts to lead her out from the crowd*

Oh!.. Thank you Captain!

The crowd seems to have grown rapidly since I arrived...

OooW... *grunts and pushes a heavily set man off her foot*


*Limps as the Captain leads her through the crowd*

*stands at the edge of the crowd and glances back at the school*

I'll give you a guard to escort you back

*looks about for a city guard and signals for one to come over*
*gives instructions to the guard then turns to Lilandra in an emotionless business like manner*

Have a nice evening My Lady, I will take care of matters here now. I'll try and send James back to you as soon as I can, dont you both have a new vessel to explore?

*looks at the Captain.. and almost sees the man he had once been*


*leans close as if to whisper... and quickly kisses his cheek*


Thank you Captain.. I will get out of your way... and let you proceed with your work unhindered.


*Turns and looks at her escort and nods for him to proceed*

*With one final look at James .. .. she follows her escort back to the Castle*

*looks after Lilandra then goes dissapears back into the crowd and heads for the school to help*

*walks through the crowd to the school and aproaches the drunken guardsman*

What's happened here?

One of the school buildings bein' renovated has collapsed, not sure how its happened yet but... *gestures at the building* some of the workers have been hurt, we're cleanin' up

*Steps away from where he was helping and gestures around the corner*
*walks around & stands at the side of the building and leans back against the wall*
What do you know ? Are you working on instinct? My instinct tells me somethings not right, but I cant do anything unless I know something

I know there's someone who has the skills of a very good thief, and the manerisms of an assasin in the vilage who was paying close attention to the elf lady, other than that I'm guessing

Dont jump too soon, we cant do anything unless we can find something on said suspect from the inn I'm assuming you mean? You havent told me anything I hadnt noticed, so unless you feeling like pulling something up dont waste my time

*snorts in derision, turns and walks away*

*pushes himself away from the wall and goes back to helping free the workers*

Removes invisible spell and watches the two walk away.Ponders on what he has heard. Crosses to the school and is humbled by the good work the others are doing to save the children and hurries to help. While helping to remove fallen rafters from a child sees another face in his own mind and is filled with remorse at a previous child's life he could not save. The grief is so strong that he becomes weak and is unble to help any more. Shamed he staggers away into the alleys of the city.

*she starts to investigate the scene of the colaspe, she knows that people laugh at her methods, they just don't understand moderen science, she continues to shift through the rubble for clues*
