There's a simple explanation - I was trying to find out if anyone had done an article on Hovercraft, and on searching the guide for hovercraft, came across them.
The Hovercraft was invented on the Isle of Wight, you know.

For reasons I won't bore you with, I just had a look through the researcher "address book" for Death. Here's what I found:
1. Dr. Death U40326: 44 weeks since last activity. 4 entries none accepted. 1 journal entry. No fora or interaction.
2. DEATH U114335: No self-intro, no journal, no entries. Sole activity- posted to Church of True Brownie forum ... arrived on Binky and threatened Researcher Jinx. This was one week ago. Probably an alter-ego of an established researcher.
3. The Angel of Death U33070: no activity in 47 weeks. 2 journal entries, 4 entries (none accepted), did participate in fora. Left email address [email protected]
4. Death Rattle U93372: no self-intro, no journal, no entries, no fora
5. NearDeath U101853: No greeting. No journal, no entries, no fora.
6. Jim Death U107631: No self-intro, no journal, no fora, no entries
7. DeathB U40414: No self-intro, no journal, no fora, no entries
8. Deathknight U27724: No self-intro, no journal, no fora, no entries
It seems to me that Death is a bad handle choice!

I heard the man himself say.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT COME'S NEXT. I NEED A HOLIDAY.
but don't quote me on that.

Thanks Lil, I will add qualifying researchers. I Think in this case I will only add those that at least did something more than register and have been quiet for longer than 26 weeks. *Quickly checks post* Um, that means Dr Death and The Angel of Death. The rest seem to have 'Died a Death' so to speak .

When I lived in England, Tesco was a supermarket chain of indifferent quality. (Actually my very first job in England was as a cashier at Tesco but that's another story). As The Angel of Death seemes to have been here for just two days, I wondered if he or she was a Tesco employee. Briefly. Perhaps The Angel of Death worked in the Butchery section.

Tesco is still a supermarket chain but like most other organisations now it has branched out and is also a bank and ISP. The jury is still out on the quality improvements . If The Angel of Death has only been here for two days its a little early to be putting him/her/it in the Battersea Researchers Home.

Great idea!
If Caspian (http://www.h2g2.com/U110792) does not come back in the next few months, I would like to put a request in to adopt him. He has only been absent for 7 weeks, so not really "lost" yet.

I would like to add keledy (U50842) and adopt wraggy.
keledy was seen talking to Lisa the Freak on their homepages and even added a few journal Entries. She came back for a moment around Christmastime to collaberate with me on a 'Large Families' Entry.

OK guys, I think I'm going to wait 'til Monday and a faster internet connection before I start updating but thanks one and all. Just a quick reminder - they gotta be gone 26 weeks before they get in the home, otherwise I am going to be sooooo busy Thanks to the new adopters too, promise you'll be up there by the end of Monday

The biggest moment for me will be if/when we get someone coming back. Now that would be *really* cool

Sign me up for Malke...
Oh, I feel like such a community activist. Except not really.
I was gone for about 30 weeks, and then came back...
