Are all dialects for rutabaga in the UK. I was in a conversation about this last year when someone didn't understand me. I've never heard anyone call them marrow, though.

Sea Change, you're correct on this one. The word I should have used is swede. Vegetable marrows are in the gourd family. I'm not sure we even grow them in the US. I got my British terms confused. Was in a hurry, but should have looked it up. Thanks for catching this. I'll correct it.
