Dashes into this conversation armed with a radio microphone, because Mike A had a request in the other forum for "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath... Sings:
Finished with my woman
'Cause she couldn't help me with my mind
People think I'm insane
Because I am frowning all the time
All day long I think of things
But nothing seems to satisfy
Think I'll lose my mind
If I don't find something to pacify
Can you help me occupy my brain?
Oh yeah!
I need someone to show me
The things in life that I can't find
I can't see the things that make true happiness
I must be blind
Make a joke and I will sigh
And you will laugh and I will cry
Happiness I cannot feel
And love to me is so unreal
And so as you hear these words
Telling you now of my state
I tell you to enjoy life
I wish I could but it's too late
Thankyou...

Returns and is rather surprised to find how quiet it is in here!... So while the noise level is still real low... Sings a quiet ballad for Katsy... to cheer her up a little after the posts about the loss of her feline companion:
Good night, good night....
Look at that moon shine so bright.
And tonight he smiles
Especially for you.
Sleep tight, sleep tight.
Know everything is alright.
And tonight I will be here
Watching over you.
For tonight I will be here watching over you.
Tonight I'll be here watching over you.
Sweet dreams, sweet dreams.
It is never as real as it seems.
And in the morning when you wake up
I will be right here.
Sleep on, sleep on.
For no matter how dark or how long
It may seem that your night is
I will still be here.
I will still be here watching, watching over you.
So sleep, little darling, sleep on through.
So be still, be still
For you know that I always will
Tonight and forever
Be watching over you.
For tonight and forever, be watching over you.
So sleep, little darling, sleep on through.
I will be watching over you.
That was "Watching Over You" from the album Works Vol.2 by Emerson, Lake & Palmer from 1977.
Party on, Katsy, party on !!!

Ahhh, any song with the words "Sweet Dreams" Iike. I have to admit that I only know tow. One's by the Eurythmics and I'm not sure who did the other one. It's got the lyrics "but in your dreams what ever they be, dream a little dream of me". It's got some woman singing it.

Hi! Katsy!
The lyrics you quote are from "Dream A Little Dream Of Me" by Mama Cass Elliot who sang with the famous 1960s Californian supergroup The Mamas And The Papas. For them as a cover song, it reached #12 on Billboard in 1968, but as an original song for Wayne King it reached #1 on Billboard in 1931.
Dream A Little Dream Of Me
Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you"
Birds singing in the sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me
Say "Night-ie night" and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on, dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn, dear
Just saying this
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

-Music by Wilbur Schwandt and Fabian Andree

I'm waiting in my cold cell
When the bell begins to chime
Reflecting on my past life
And it doesn't have much time
Cos at 5 o'clock they take me to the gallows pole
The sands of time, for me, are running low...
Running loooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhoooooooooooooooo
oohhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww-yeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!
When the priest comes to read me the last rites
Take a look through the bars at the last sights
Of a world that has gone very wrong for me
Can it be that there's some sort of error
Hard to stop the surmounting terror
Is this really the end not some crazy dream
Somebody please tell me that I'm dreaming
It's not easy to stop from screaming
The words escape me when I try to speak
Tears flow but why am I crying
After all I'm not afriad of dying
Don't I beleive that there never is an end?
*3 mins of guitars*
As the guards march me out to the courtyard
Somebody cries from a cell god be with you
If there's a god, why has he let me go?
As I walk my life drifts before me
Now the end is near I'm not sorry
Catch my soul it's willing to fly away
Mark my words beleive my soul lives on
Don't worry now that I have gone
I've gone beyond to see the truth
When you know that your time is crucial
Maybe then you'll begin to understand
Life down here is just a strange ilusion
*2 mins of guitar*
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaayeeeeayyeaaahhh!
Hallowed be thy name!
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaayeeeeayyeaaahhh!
Hallowed be thy naaaaaaaayyyyyyyyme!
Yeahyeahyeahyeahyeah!
Sorry about the anti-Backstreet Boys comments Katsy. Honest music is real hard to come across in this day and age. Even HM is being corrupted

That's ok! I'm trying to send you a clip of their song "Larger Than Life". I've copied onto my hard disk from the CD, now all I have to do is wait for Shim to e-mail/phone me to tell me how to send it!
Thanks soooo much Ossario! That is definately the song I was thinking of, and I love it!
Let's have a little song here of that song from All Saints, called "Pure Shores"
"I've crossed desserts for miles, swam water for time,
Searching places to find a piece of something to call mine,
(in background) I'm comin', I'm comin',
A piece of something to call mine,
Comin' closer to you,
Ran along many moors, walked through many doors,
The place where I wanna be is the place I can call mine,
(in background) I'm comin', I'm comin',
In a place I can call mine,
Comin closer to you,
I'm movin' I'm comin' can you hear what I hear,
It's calling you my dear out of reach,
Take me to my beach,
I can hear it calling you, I'm comin' not drownin' swimmin' closer to you.
Never been here before, I'm intrigued I'm unsure,
I'm searchin' for more, I've got something that's all mine,
I got something that's all mine.
Take me somewhere I can breathe, I've got so much to see,
This is where I wanna be, In a place I can call mine,
In a place I can call mine.
I'm movin' I'm comin' can you hear what I hear,
It's calling you my dear out of reach,
Take me to my beach,
I can hear it calling you, I'm comin' not drownin' swimmin' closer to you.
Movin', comin', can you hear what I hear, hear it out of reach,
I hear it callin' you, swimmin' closer to you
Many faces I have seen, many places I have been,
Walked the desserts, swam the the shore,
Comin' cloer to you,
Many faces I ahev known, many ways in which I've grown,
Movin' closer on my own,
Comin' closer to you,
I'm movin', I feel it, I'm comin', not drownin'
I'm movin', I feel it, I'm comin', not drownin'
I'm movin' I'm comin' can you hear, what I hear,
It's callin' you my dear out of reach,
Take me to my beach,
I can hear it callin' you, I'm comin' not drownin' swimmin' closer to you"
That's from the soundtrack to The Beach. Has anyone else also seen that movie?

That song reminds me of Phantom Of The Opera. I gave you a line og it in my email subject thing, Kastsy. Both of them look like they could be sung in exactly the same way.
I have at least 5 megs of music on my computer. Yep yep yep!
Anticipating your music clip thing .

I try to delete what ever music I can, apart from e-mails.
Let's sing! I'm a huge Geri Halliwell fan and she's releasing a new song in 2 weeks. Not sure of the lyrics, so I'll sing my favourite one by her. It's called "Mi Chico Latino"
"I've got a secret, I cannot keep it,
It's just a whisper, of a distant memory.
Just a dream, or so it seems,
Take me back to the place I'd rather be.
You left a fire in my eyes,
That lightens up the darkest skies,
I'm giving up, I'm letting go,
I'll find my way so
Take me back to my sweet la vida,
Find my love, my dolce vita,
Show me where, I need to go,
Donde esta, mi chico latino
La la la la, yie yie yie, la la la.
Stolen moments, time has broken,
My eyes are open to this life-long mystery.
And so I'll go, with what I know,
Take my chances, and run with destiny.
Now there's fire in my eyes.
I break away and say goodbye.
I'm free to be, I'm letting go,
I'll find my way so
Take me back to my sweet la vida,
Find my love, my dolce vita,
Show me where, I need to go,
Donde esta, mi chico latino.
AAAAAIYYIIIIEE!"

Wait till I find the words to Wait & Bleed. F***ing obsessed I am man!
Come to think of it, the only words you can regularly pick out in a Slipknot song is the song's name and 'f**k'.

Nope, this is better....
An old man turned 98, he won the lottery and died the next day.
It's a black fly in your chardonnay
it's a death row pardon, 2 minutes 2 late.
Isn't it ironic, don't u think?
It's like rain, on your wedding day,
a free ride when you've already paid
it's the good advice that you just didn't take and who would have thought it figures?
Mr. Play it safe was afraid to fly,
packed his suitcase, kissed his kids good bye,
he'd waited his whole damn life to take that flight and as the plane crashed down, he thought well isn't this nice?
And isn't it ironic, don't you think?
It's like rain, on your wedding day,
a free ride when you've already paid
it's the good advice that you just didn't take and who would have thought it figures?
Alanis Morissette, Ironic. I love the lyrics 2 that song don't u??
I'll write the rest later, I can't be bothered 2 write anymore!!

The song is Hallowed Be Thy Name, which for some reason made it to Iron Maiden's "Best Of The Beast" album despite the fact Afraid The Shoot Strangers is better.
Guess you'll be wanting clips then...

Well done Est (i) hee, hee, hee!! BTW I'm thinkin' of takin' Deutsch!
Now I've got that song in my head - not that that's a bad thing, I love it.
Have you heard that song by Dario G on the soundtrack, called voices??
It's one of the nicest songs I've ever heard, I love that too - very cool!! It's got a lot of chanting innit. How do you send peeps songs??
Singing!
Mike A (snowblind) Posted Mar 11, 2000
No.
I mean, have you ever heard it?
Don't judge a song by it's lyrics.
I once had Wasted Years dismissed as a dreamy anthnem by somebody who'd never heard it.
So don't mess.
"Lying awake at night I wipe the sweat from my brow
But it's not the fear, cos I'd rather go now
Trying to visualise the horros that will lay ahead
The desert sands mound a burial ground
When it comes to the time are we partners in crime?
When it comes to the time we'll be ready to die
God let us go now and finish what's to be done
Thy kindgom come, thy shall be done
On Earth
Trying to justify to ourselves the reasons to go
Should we live and let live, forget or forgive?
But how can we let them go on this way?
The reign of terror corruption must end
And we know deep down there's no other way
No trust no reasoning no more to say
Afraid to shoot strangers
Afraid to shoot strangers etc etc"
I await your comments.

Leo is NOT fine. And yes, I love that song by Dario G called Voices.
"We sailed over the seven seas,
climbed the mountains......
na na na na yeah yeah yeah,
na na na na na na yeah......"

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Mar 19, 2000
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
On lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight
They leave that all to the poor
Time will tell on theor power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait til their judgement day comes
Yeah!
Now in darkness world stops turning
As you hear the bodies burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of god has struck the hour
Day of judgement god is calling
On their knees the war pigs crawling
Begging mercies for their sins
Satan laughing spreads his wings
Oh lord yeah!
