h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Sarah shook her head.* "Nope...I havent seen anything like this in my travels."

[Ecg Unagi]: "Nuge, Sarah, Elexorien... thank you. I think"
~it has to be energy. Now, nobody touch me I'm going to try air and electricity. Things'll get very dry & hot. Someone should go get Blake~
"Because I train under him. He'd know what to do- I think."

*Ecg starts making symbols on the ground using his foot but tries to keep an eye on the skeletons. The nearest two casters go in and out of his vision range so he can't aim to get a good lock on them*

Blake was busy himself with one of the drow. "Okay. Necromancer or no, your going down." he said, his wind-step spell propelling him at high speed and manuverablity, a sword of ice and a sword of earth at his hands.

[Ecg Unagi]: *finishes up a set of bolt symbols and is muttering an incantation.*

*Begins a second one & continues muttering, He needs three.*

I would estimate that they are around novice level in there skill...
oh and your probably aiming at an illusion.....

technically there my kin I suppose...
never talked to any of the darker brethren.... I don't get the feeling I'd like what they would say....


*consentraits on a summoning spell and slowly an object appears, it seems to be a bow constructed from bones as to what the string is made of that can only be guessed at, it also comes with arrows apparently also made from bone though much smaller and lighter than those that make up the bow, it is longbow size in construction and basic appearance*

*readies an arrow and draws back the bow then releases*

*the arrow soars through the air seemingly immune to the strong wind that has picked up and hits an invisible target*


*the illusion wavers slightly as do the skeletons*

[Ecg]: "Oh?"
*Finishes the third one*

"Hold tight!"

*The air around him heats and he just barely hops backwards in time to dodge the point of a lightning bolt*

"Well?... What gives, do we need more symbol sets?"

*His hair stands on end*

*Had been watching (coincidentally) one of the non-illusion drow. He leaps at it, his sword held out in front of him. He strikes the drow, and a number of the illusions vanish*

We have to hit the right ones to dissipate the illusions!


*He stabs the Drow through the chest, and turns on his heel to attack another. The Drow gets up and scurries back to the enemy ranks*

[Ecg]: "Okay, more symbols!"

*He unstraps his halberd and spins it around and pokes a skeleton or two out of the way then sets to work making more lightning cast spots. it's a technique he hasn't mastered yet but that he read about and tried recently*

Blake takes out a real one, and passes through an illusions. "I hate these illusion spells...all the Hype nowadays."

*Ecg makes room and then spins his halberd in a loose side-arc*

"Blake, I know what you mean. If I heat up the air enough, I think it may interfere with the spell a bit. Heat can mess with light, I remember hearing it from a scholar at some point!"

*5 lightning cast spots on the ground, going for making a 6th and a 7th.*

*picks his dagger up from where it lay on the ground and resheathes it before drawing his katana, as he holds it before him the blade appears to shimmer slightly*

*turning towards the group of drow he moves around behind them and attacks one standing in the rear, once it is dead a number of the illusions disappear*

"8, 9... Go!" Ecg howls as some of the lightning casting spots go off and other ones don't & in no particular order.

"Now where's the real enemy off to?"

*Sarah moved out of the way of lighting that Ecg was setting off.*
"Oh my....well I hope that works."

[Ecg Unagi]: "Not sure. Just wish I had... more... power!"
*In his frustration he gets part to one of the bolts to arc and strike a nearby foe. The sizzling crackle is satisfying but did it actually do anything?*

*Sarah watched the bolt strike the near by enemy* "Ahh...that seems to hold a bit of power to me."

[Ecg]: "Rank means little, outside formalities maybe! Don't let your guard down. That's just what the enemy wants."

*He blinks looking over to where Sarah is... was that a bit of a smile playing across the features of his face? His eyes go wide though at something behind her.*

"Look out!"

"What?!" *Sarah said as she held up her staff to defend herself as she spun around to see what was behind her.*

"Not sure, maybe an orc?"
*Ecg wasn't sure whether it was another illusion or a real enemy though*

Thinks: So frustrating being unsure! Grr.

that ones no illusion, its perfectly real!

*Sarah held up her staff to block the attack from the orc, and used its force to push it away before stabing the blade at the end of her staff in to it.*
"It certonly seems real to me."
