*However, the creature that made the plaster fall is silently creeping up on the two behind them, and Curmanis' enhanced hearing may allow him to detect it. It walks along on cat feet and has a lion's body, but huge bison horns grace its head. The most frightening part about it is its skin, or lack thereof- it is covered by a clear membrane, and blood can be seen pulsing through black veins. This was once a good creature, but has been perverted beyond all recognition, and it is hungry for blood.*

*The creature dives at Curmanis, toothy maw wide, and knifelike claws extended.*

*Curmanis hears the creature extending its claws*

*Ducks while turning around throws out a hand, using magic to throw the creature over him and Lycan behind him*

*The creature flips over Curmanis, and lands against the fireplace mantle. It shakes itself off a few times, then roars and resumes its attack.*

*pulls back swings his sword around thrusts his sword at the creatures mouth while his free hand swings up to his quiver pulls an arrow and lunges at its eye*

*The creature howls in pain as the arrow hits home, and now realizes its folly. It struggles to escape from Lycan.*

*The sword goes to the bone, but misses the artery. Nevertheless, the creature is now crippled, and some of its demonic nature starts to bleed out with the tainted blood. It looks up at Lycan pitifully.*
