h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

[Ecg]: *To the crow under his breath*
"Want to make something of it, hmm?"

*He takes a piece of dried meat from a pouch puts it in his hand and tries to infuse water in it holding it up to the crow while trying to still keep an eye on his surroundings*

*the crow flaps up and snatches at the meat before hopping towards the door, then it stops and looks expectantly at Ecg*

[Ecg]: I've got a hunch...
*Decides to follow the crow*

*The door opens, and there appears to be nothing inside. Sarah steps into the room, and drops her protactions around herself, and shuts the door. She looks around and finds nothing.* ~I swear the noise was from in hear...but were did it go?~

*the crow leads E down several darkened corridors towards a large ornate set of doors*

*Ecg hooks his halberd to a strap on his back then looks left & right before crossing. He steps in the doorway wincing and wishing that his weapon didn't clink quite so much then leans against a wall.*

*there is murmured talking from within, and perhaps not a sound dissimaler to a woman sobbing*

*Sarah sighed as she re-wrapped herself in her illusion. Stepping in to the hall and heading again towards the sound. She looks up to see a person farther up the hall.* ~Now I wonder...~
*She steps quick...pulling up in stride with him. She leans towards Ecg, leting the illusion drop for his eyes.* "Hello sir, I beleive we may know each other, or may help one another, at the very lest." *She said looking sommberly at him.*

*Ecg rubs his forehead then thinks a little to clear his mind.*

~Yeah, I believe so.~

*He moves his hand to show a dark alliance insignia on the shoulder of his clothes.*

~It's my cover. Did you see the crow too? It might be more than it seems. Hmm.~

*Sarah nods.* "Thats better cover then mine, less energy. And no I didn't see any crow." *She takes a look around* "Wait is that it farther up the hall?" *She points at a shift in the light ahead.*

[Ecg]: ~They think I'm a new recruit. No idea. Let's see. Be careful though.~

*the crow hops around impatiently in front of the door and caws quietly magic swirls around the crow but just a little, the crow seems to look slightly more ill than it did earlier*

*Sarah nods as she move ahead.* "I'll be carefully."
*Looks into the shadows.* "I think that is the crow...but it looks a bit, off."

*Ecg gets closer.*

"Yeah. That's the critter. If it is a critter. Whatever it is. Say, did you hear someone crying too? I think I may have. ! I think someone might be coming."

*He presses himself against the wall but then remembers his disguise and makes himself relax like nothing was going on.*

*the crow stands in his shadow*

*a tall well dressed man with long unnaturally blond hair walks to the doors, he makes a complicated magic symbol and they swing open*

*while the doors are open you can hear what sounds like a male voice asking questions which are answered only by whimpers*

*the doors close behind the blond man and he remains in the room for ten minutes before walking out again, now though he looks pail perhaps he has seen something he finds distressing he walks away from the room without looking back and seems to have the amazing skill of blindness to underlings so sees nether of you*

*Sarah watched him walk off before turning to Ecg.* "I wonder what he saw in there...sounded like an intaragation, and a bad one, to me."
*She moved over to the door and looked at it.* "I wonder if we could get in."

[Ecg]: "Maybe."
~Do you do illusions? We should think of a way to get in. He must've been an important guy.~

"Yes, If we can figuer out how to open the door...I should be able to make you look like the guy who just left." ~With some practise first~ *She thought as she contiued to look over the door.*

[Ecg]: ~I could force it open. Well, if you did then I could take some materials like if they have some books or scrolls kicking around and we could figure those out later. Maybe they have some maps or a list of executioms, who knows. I don't like the sound of that lady though. I wonder what they did to her.~

"I don't have a clue what they have do to her, but thats the main reason I want to get in there. If you think you can force that door, then go ahead. I will cast the illusion over you and be done by the time you have it open."
*She brings up in her mind all that she can recall on the looks and height of their guy.*
