He's getting there, another few lessons like that and he may finally realise he's not a warrior and he may get over his pride and ask for help, he still never learned that part of the lesson though. I'd better go and see how he is and see if he has learned anything

[Eal]: *Notices Ecg's dented-faceplate*
(to Thurin) : ~"Did he go and insist on using the dive-beetle suit against you? No wonder..."~
*Examines the wreckage*
~" It's a suit-of-armor specifically designed for use-underwater. You know, harpoon-proofed,-etc. Not much good on land though, huh?"~

[Eal]: ~Yes,- that's why it doesn't work so well-on land. Perhaps you noticed some of the-fins that on it-that can fold outwards? All that trick-paneling is to startle larger fish and certain sea monsters. It's a tactic that a number of ocean-creatures themselves use... I do hope he wasn't too difficult-with you and Lady Shaylar again }Sigh{.~

[Eal]: ~What exactly has been going down here,- anyway (since, up until about-now, I was pretty occupied with navigating the plumbing)?~

*tom walks in and removes all his wepons and armour till he is left with just his robe and magic staff, he sits down and waits*

*Ecg Unagi enters, after making a brief detour to put his seemingly totaled dive-beetle armor, etc. in his room (to fix later) and walks in wearing his hapi coat w/he torn-off sleeve,* his arm tatoo-showing on that arm.
(To Tom) : "So, what was it that you had in mind?"
*Ecg doesn't have a staff, so he is using his halberd in place of one.*

"Erm, what do you mean, it won't hurt?"
*Strikes the flat-end of the halberd against the ground... and tries to form a smallish golem... i.e. a homunculus.*

the things i summon will not feal pain which means that you have to kill, and not just wound it. It also means that it will not be hurt by what you are doing, it will attack you though

*a sniffing sound can be heard approaching, stopping outside before Wolf enters*
[Wolf] Ah Thurin there you are..Tom? Good, I wanted a caretaker and you'll do perfectly

Ecg: "It's easier for me to get a mud/clay homunculus to be obedient than a metal one... see?"
*From the ground a figure of a "little man" begins to form itself out of mud and clay*
"Homunculus? I want you to fight here in battle for me, okay?"
*The homunculus looks around after some eye-furrows form on its nondescript face, then it nods* All in all it seems about less than a foot tall.
"You're going to back me up here, alright?"
*It take one look at all the other people in the room and then tries to hide behind Ecg's leg*
"Cut that out."
*It goes out from hiding behind Ecg to in front of him.*
"Did you say your name was Tom? I'm sorry, homunculi tend to be less obedient and a little more mischievous than golems, but I don't have enough know-how to make a full-size golem just yet."
*The Homunculus seems to be a bit offended by Ecg's remark, and tries to look more fearsome*

*Nods and walks over to Thurin, noticing Wolf was there* Hello, Thurin, WOlf. Dear Thurin, would you like to duel me with elements? I need practice, and I have nothing much else to do. I hope to prove a better challenge than that last one."

*the homunculus Ecg made scampers up the top of his halberd and clings there... looking around and sticking its arms out to make two slightly gloppy fists*
"What are you doing up there? Oh well nevermind... at least you seem better behaved than that last one I'd made out of aluminum and mercury."
*The homunculus generastes a secondary even smaller one without being asked*
"Ahem!"
*It absorbs the other one back into itself*
"That's better."
*It opens its mouth to yawn a little*
"Well then,-what is the first creature I and my , little helper... are going to have to face?"

*Thurin looks slightly pained*
[Thurin] umm, I'm not really suposed to fight you mages, "ma'am" doesn't like it. She sort of gave me special dispensation with him as I think she wanted him to recieve a quick beating more than she didn't want to risk me causing a diplomatic incident. How about Wol.. actually that's not a good idea either...
[Wolf] I can't anyway as I need someone to sort out finding a caretaker to go fetch something for me.

"Oh. Well, good seeing you wolf. And you might want to try the meal hall, or the stables. Other wise, i don't know." I say, walking off and looking for a sparing opponent.
