Ok, if you want defence, we look at the most likely spot for a breach and forlorn hope. If we can't decide on the most likely spot we make one part of the city walls weaker. We then build a second, stronger wall behind it, do we have any ilusionists or people who might be able to hide the inner wall? Any way, we turn the 'Dead Ground' between the two walls into one almighty mine

*laughs outright in impressed glee*

It is a good idea. What might fall down is the extent of the charming we'd need to hide the inner wall. But I will consult Lady Tias and Lord Craxus about that.

The bigest problem we face is from a prolongued siege. We would need a way to ensure a suply of fresh food and water.

The city's water supply comes from a series of underground lakes and rivers beneath the city....but that in of itself is a possible weakness. If they poison the water supply somehow then it's unlikely we would survive.

Do you know of any ways which could...help ensure our water supplies are not poisoned?

could do with some sort of nymph or water sprite i suppose,
that would sort it out, but they could be dangerous...
most antidotes are poisons in the wrong circumstances, so i wouldent pu anything in the water incase they dont use the poison that you think they will...

*nods* Would you be able to quickly come up with some sort of antidote if they were to poison the water supply?

its dependent on the antidote i am afraid,
some can only be made at fool moon and things like that...
its a complex lure...
but unless its something very rare they managed to somehow get there hands on it i should be able to act quickly yes...

And of the food supplies...they are less easily poisoned but we bring things in from farms along the roads to the outposts; a lot of the city's food is imported. We should start stockpiling it safely, I believe.

but food is harder to get an antidote into,
people are less happy to eat something after you pour some strangely colourd liquid on it...
