Non of you have even considerd whose in the building. The senior members of the guild could all be walking into a hail of arrow fire and trap doors and though I do not doubt your power on the field of battle in a doorway your as good as anyone else

*Looks up the side of one of the nearby buildings*

That could easily be scaled...

CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this squabbling will get us nowhere

*Points at Thurin*

YOU!! will apologise to Lumien for the way you treat her

*Points at Lumien*

YOU!! will accept his apology with graciousness and a smile on your face and you will rise above this petty 'I'm better than you' dispute you have going and the next time this happens I will personally lock the pair of you in the tower until one and or both of you is unconcious

*Turns to Kazinishi*

Now do you feel you can lead Wolf and Polo into the building as you seem to have had more experience with this than we have

[Wolf] Firstly, we do not need to go inside to talk, secondly I could go in first... If Thurin doesn't want to go that is, in which case arrows will not be a problem

*admonished severely Thurin turns to Lumien*

[Thurin] I'm... I'm sorry I treated you like a child

*Smiles*

Apology accepted. I'm sorry I overreacted.

But these people obviously know who's who in the guild, who's to say the arrowheads won't be made of silver

*Calls out*

You in there, come out, we wish a discussion

*Turns to Lumien and Thurin*

That's better, any more of it and I will make good on my threat to lock you up, this petty bickering is fueling the rabble rousers, they want to see the guild and it's allies divided

[Wolf] That is why we wear armour... plus they probably won't know my other little secret. However it will be safer all round to meet out in the open

*Sticking to the shadows, Shimada climbs up the side of a slum house and, staying out of site, watches the scene carefully*

*looks mildly suprised, and trys to peer past the crowd into the doorway so see what he might be talking about*

perhaps no ones there....

There's no one here. And look... *points*

*Inside, near the window where the light was seen, is a contraption on a table consisting of a shattered bottle of magical chemicals, above which is a heavy weight suspended from a pully near the ceiling by a rope that reached back down to the table where a candle slowly burned through it*

It seems that by freezing the air, the bottle shattered before it was intended too. Someone wanted to gather the mages here, but why?

[Thurin] Well I'd say they either wanted a target or...

*Thurin and Wolf turn and run back in the direction of the Magicians guild, swiftly followed by the other wolf knights*

[Wolf] they wanted to get us away from the guild hall

We should get back there immediately! Avatar told me telepathically that there is a message waiting for us in the Dining Hall.

Right!

*Takes off running toward the Guild, Chandra scouting ahead.*

I'm going to stay here and investigate the building a bit more; there may be clues as to who left this for us.

*dithers briefly then follows Lumien towards the guild hall*
