Suite 42 Open and Inviting You!
Alpha_Cygni Started conversation May 14, 2005
I have applied to be a Time Traveller...but (shhhhh) I already do it.
I've booked this sweet little Suite facing the park, Suite 42. I've accepted the offer of the Frog who has her own very large terrarium in an extra airy cupboard off to the side of the bathroom. No name yet but I am thinking about it. If you come to know her, let me know your suggestions. I let her go to other male frogs in the hotel and their Polly-Wogs are very sublime.
I just moved in and things are not quite fully set up. I am open to suggestions as I am a Time Traveller since birth and will only rarely be en suite. I enjoy sharing quite a lot - so the ancient key - I insisted - no computer card for me - is right under the front mat which says in very cheery letters, "Welcome Friends!"
So feel free. If I really need quiet and sleep, I will tell you.
I have initially transported some special items from various time periods.
There is a Grandfather's clock with a very fine bell which is accurate. Please remember to wind it occasionally. The key is in the drawer under the face should you open the glass.
There are several "Murphy" beds - built into the walls which can be pulled out of the wall to sleep on. There are five ranging from single to California King.
I have also installed a future kitchen. Most items you may not have seen but in the drawer by the hypergrill are instructions and recipes galore. You will find the food keeper stocked and I have added on a solar greenhouse as I am on the South side of the hotel. Organic real food year round.
There is a beyond-the-state-of-the-art musical system from the far distant future for I briefly met DNA in my travels to the past and he advised me. He was right about every single thing!
There is also a media center from close to that same period with many types of movies and other media. If you search, you can find virtually anything - even home movies. You will find out just how eclectic and daring I am when you peruse the selections. You can also call up you favorites and store them here. Please feel free to do so.
The books are both on my state of the art (again far future) computer and also on shelves as handbound originals. Sometimes it is nice to turn a page with a finger.
There are art supplies in several drawers and a few closets/wardrobes of clothing of every variety. In addition, I've got and old fashioned trunk (no lock) with masks and accessories good for any form of theatre or costume party.
I've only been here a short while. There will be more in the future (is that right?) but please help yourself and perhaps a few of us will become friends.
I certainly hope so.
The reason I joined the Time Travelers was not only to see and save the best and was, is and will be but also in hopes of finding DNA and perhaps bringing him back. I've already seen him in the past and I miss him every day. Anyone who wants to help is greatly appreciated. I am entirely willing to piss off all Time Lords to do this!
Hugs all round!

Um, sir? Not that it is any of my business to interfere of course, but wouldn't you rather get a room of your own?

'Kay. Aren't there separate rooms in the suite?

Not in a Simple Suite, sir... but I suppose you should discuss this with Ms. Cygni. She did say guests are welcome, after all. *shrug*

Oh absolutely, my darlings! Any and all are welcome at any and every time. Look how long it took me to peek in and I cannot stay... Feel free! I am sending my twin Arrietty42 to get a larger suite since people seem to be worried so about the space. And there seems to be an occasioanly need for more space than one traveler/visitor. We are very, very friendly folk and come and go any time. There is a safe with no lock and plenty of cash - don'y ask because we don't know why. Take as much as you like and have fun in the bar or other amenities. We always get more so what does it mean, really.
Have fun and be well while you are here.
Pat the frog if you like reptiles.
There are plenty of chinese scrfeens in one of the closets if you feel you need separations.
And I am send Arrietty42 to get a Presidential Suite 42 so this will not worry you in future. Worry is the last thing I wanted for you!
Hugs all round!

Well, we've moved everything up to the Presidential Suite today. There wasn't much personal for we have learned to travel light at all times. But the kitchen is fully stocked and there are cuddly guest robes and slippers, robes and self-care accressories galore.
The kick-off party will be 11th June, our birthday. There's no rush. We've paid ahead two months on the simple suite to let folks adjust.
Oh, and we promise to label the really dangerous drinks and snacks. Don't forget to pick up your own gift that day. It is our tradition to give things away every birthday. We seem to collect so much on our time travels. The random chaos of the planet is probably our fault but people will insist on giving us things. I left the trick of getting in at reception. People might arrive when we are out and about. Giving the treats to the pets is essential!

Trah lah! We've been given permission to morph this Suite to Preidential. Plenty of room now, dearies!
Oh and the trick of getting in the wide open door is the baby hippogryffs who need a treat (of which you will find plenty in the glass bowl outside the door.) One each and they are like little sweeties and will gladly show you all the tricks and lovely corners of the suite.
So make yourselves at home. Privacy we take on other planets where it is really quiet.

It is our birthday now - June 11th1 Centuries apart but we arre the oddest of twins.
We begin with a toast to having made it and met up oddly for these few minutes. Time strips be danged.
We hope to hope in here and there tomorrow on our real birthday with daylight hours. tee hee
But for now we are loading up the truncks in the main living room with all of the goodies (save one each) that we have collected this entire past year. Plese help yourself.
We have no way of knowing whether one or thousands of people will show up so don't be shy!
We've kennelled the gryffs just for this occasion so no need to remember the feeding thingie.
I've floated a bowl with the best drinkie poos of the entire galaxie and spread out a varied assortment of snackable delicious things.
Help yourselves to the immense music collection and vid collection.
Alpha and I are doing a wild dance to stir up some energy.
I would be sincerely amazed if you don't feel it when you enter. We are divine dancers.
And if you are entirely adorable when we return - who of all the univerrse - knows what will happen.
Bring nighties and a change of clothes just in case. tee hee
Hugs all round.

Only too delighted to have you come by!
I brought a live band here from many places - they should liven things up.
Don't be shy or timid about picking a prezzie from the trunk. This is giveaway day for me. It is an old Lakota tradition that to give is the only value of possessions so I expect that truck to be empty when I get back later. Heh.
So good to see you both again. I've brought back some lovely feminine outfits of clothing from my latest time travels - all gifts so they are all to be given on - take a look through.
And I made the cake myself! If has 2 dozen flavors. See if you like them all. He he.

Well, I am only too delighted that you came by. And you brought me great luck. I was fired two days after my birthday and have an excellent job interview this coming Monday.
Geeelighted you liked the cake. I will now leave goodies scattered everywhere from now on and ikf you tell me what you enjoy, I will make it - promise! I adore cooking. Alpha Cygni adores picking the right p[late and garnish and presentation.
If the bad was amiss, tell me what music you'd prefer. Summer Solstice is the very next party and I am making all kinds of yellow foods and frinks with a few complementary snacks.
Batty, you picked the perfect, perfect feather. It has a long history and a story that goes with it. I will get back to you with those. You have chosen excellently, my own sister!
And honey, if you liked a few of those togas, please take them. I notice a few things are left in the chest and it really must be emptied before Summer Solstice, so come back and take another.
It is my joy.

Thanks. I'm glad I was lucky.
I've found that being let go is really just the world's way of saying you really didn't need that stinkin' job anyway. I was laid off days before holidays last year from a company I absolutely hated and a job I disliked even more. After taking a nice vacation over the holidays I found a job that I absolutely adore! Great company, even better immediate manager. Great pay. What more can a bat ask for?

Ah well, my dear bat certainly deserves it and I believe that this situation will be much happier for me also. Cross yer wings!
