Oh yeah, course. Thing is, how many of those short-namers do see around around the guide regularly?

I have a theory that a lot of the "Short Names" are the same people - they want to say something contentious in a forum without getting "Whacked" by the PTB's, so they create a new persona for that single posting. This theory comes from several instances of reading a post, thinking "what an asshole", going to their page to tell them so and finding that the offending post is the ONLY activity from that user - everything else left at the defaults.

If you need lots of e-mails, go to http://www.another.com - you can have up to 20 addresses active at a given time to one account, and can freely "dump" them when you don't need them. Some of the domains are pretty cool, too!

Oooh, cool
Don't you just hate it when you've got a song in your head and you don't know the words? I'm suffering from that right now

I do, of course, have my [email protected], but I forgot my password
And I could easily get [email protected], but I can't be arsed.

I changed my name because ... well, i felt like a change. I migth change it again soon, for use in an "adventutre" forum (curse the fiend who invented those! they now take up almost every spare hour of my life! but what the hell!)
It just occured to me that this is the only forum I've seen on h2g2 that remotely resembles chat rooms elsewhere on the net (ie. people swear, insult each other, talk about things that have no relevance)
Please don't throw me out for saying that...
And MikeA, do you mind if I use your Slipknot lyric in the new intoduction to my page!

I've tried to set up a new email account with a different ISP, but it's not worked out for my addy

Awwwww.
Ok, I'm with you on the fact that this is like a chat room, but lack of topic drift?
If that was an Olympic sport the h2g2ers would win hands down
Oh, BTW, what's an adventure forum?
Key: Complain about this post
