Adventure forum? That's a new one on me. Probably those role-play places (Damogran, Aroma Cafe, my Mosh Pit ).

Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted May 29, 2000
I only have two as well. Why do you need all those emails?
AND YET MORE FREAKS...III
Mike A (snowblind) Posted May 29, 2000
I have one for normal mail. Another because I used to use it for mailing lists - now it's old, decrepid and retarded.
I signed up for Maiden Mail cos I thought it was a mailing list. Hotmail cos I needed to address for MSN. And that is the score

Thistle Posted May 30, 2000
i have various old ones i don't use, hotmail for msn, and another.com cos it's cool and u can use it if u need to put e-mail address down for something but don't want to get piles of junk mail.
hi cut, how's u?

I use Another.com for writing to people I know, and Netscape mail for people I don't/companies. The reason? Netscape has a one-click "don't show me any more mail from this (l)user" option...
(I'm signed up here using a "lapsed" Altavista iName address which is now redirected to Another.com...)

Archangel Tweetie (01/06/02...) Posted May 30, 2000
Ditto. Ok, got it now. But why do you need a hotmail account for msn? Am I (yet again) missing something?

Generally, you don't want lots of SPAM in your main account, and MSN customers (like AOL and Compuserve (l)users) get a disproportionately large amount of SPAM.
I just moved 11 PCs from the living room into the kitchen - is this a record? (Will that do as a random change of topic?)

Hammy of Hamster (died, still moving) Posted May 31, 2000
no, I think Mr I.T Gilbert person has the record, 40 pcs.

I've got over 40 PCs in the flat, although admittedly not all work... I may make an attempt on the record next time I have a LOT of time on my hands...

Mostly for spares - I used to fix them for a living. The 11 in the kitchen are all earmarked to become "nodes" in a "Beowulf cluster", i.e. a multi-processor supercomputer running Linux, which I plan to use for near-realtime rendering of 3D graphics.
I was given three Apple machines today to add to the collection too: an Apple IIGS and two Macs.
Key: Complain about this post
