Without the French, it's not likely that the U.S. would enjoy "freedom" nowadays. Anyway, I could say "Les francais" instead of "the French". Congress has no jurisdiction over what les francais choose to call themselves.

even worse...our head librarian at school is a real...well...you know...she's just rude...it's like she doesn't want kids hanging around her library...at a public school...one day I came in looking for a teacher who was supposedly in there (as I'm the student assistant for the dean's office)...she didn't even say hello or anything...first words to leave her mouth were when she said in a terse voice "Where's your pass"...which I was wearing (since the student assistants have a special ID badge made that they can opt to wear around their necks or just carry...which I don't even bother to wear it anymore as the administrators either don't seem to care, or I don't look like I'm skipping, or they very well might know me as a student assistant)...ugg...but anywho...I have a hatred of that lady...
