>>is it a crime???
Well, it certainally sounds criminal, but I'm not sure if any local laws are being broken. I'll see if I can find out.
>>an allergic reaction
No
>>a mental illness

Right, having looked into the available evidence, I feel confident in saying that it is not a crime, though it is fairly extreme behaviour.

A Ferengi? I wouldn't put it past them.
A clue:
There was a DGI for the observation that you would know if something is not where you left it.
There was another DGI given to clarify that a great number of items may be involved.
So, where do you keep a large number of items of various descriptions?

But I'm also going to give you a DGI +1 for 'taking without owners consent', as that does help to nudge things in the right direction.

I also rent a self storage unit, but nothing ever disappears from there.

I will risk a here, if it is not criminal(theft) and things are not where they are left by the owner is it borrowing of some sort
QI - Where did that tin go?
Geggs Posted Mar 13, 2011
Borrowing? That's not a klaxon. Actually that's DGI +1.

So it is a sort of borrowing .... interesting
So if it is not where you left it so is it borrowing without asking and not theft the borrower possably knows the (unasked) lender
