Is he an Expert Witness or just a normal one?
Did he claim the science of which he is a Doctor could prove the guilt of the defendants, whereas it could actually prove nothing?

Just had a thought
Was he really a Dr?
Was he projecting his problem onto others - was he in fact guilty of the crimes he was testifying against?
QI - Cygnus Cygnus Cygnus Cygnus
Geggs Posted Nov 14, 2010
Thinking further along those lines, is he the reason courts started to keep lists of expert witnesses because he clearly couldn't be trusted?

He was testifying in Capital Cases
Yes.
Guilty' verdicts were returned each time he gave evidence?
Don't know about every time but he certainly "helped" in more ways than one... which is the subject of this QI.

Was he really a Dr?
No. Just one of his many conceits, but I'm only interested in one of his lies which bother before and after he told it has seen to it that men (and women) go to jail.

No he is not the reason for keeping lists of expert witnesses. His influence is in a small way much more significant.
