So are we talking about one of the founding teams of the league, then? (I thought Spurs was one, btw. Ho hum.)
The only other club that I'm reasonably certain was around that early one is Aston Villa, mainly because I lived a stone's throw from Villa Park for most of my life.
Villa started out as a cricket team which moved into football (admittedly, this may be true of other teams too). They definately don't play in white now, but given the cricketing roots it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that they might have played in white back then.
And their nickname is the Villians, which kinda contents to the title.

Could it be Arminia Bielefeld?
The link with the title is through the elusiveness of Bielefeld. Or should I say, "Bielefeld", the city which doesn't exist?

There is only one city in the UK which has had at least one football team in the top flight every season since 1888, and that is Liverpool. Is the football team Everton?

The Lily Whites are Preston North End, and sometime in the 1890's they went through the season unbeaten, and also won the FA cup.
The next time a team went unbeaten through a season in the top league was Arsenal about 15 years or so ago.

McKay!!
Lilywhites/Invincibles are Preston North End. Correct +3
PNE won the League Championship in the 1888/89 season undefeated. Correct +3
Arsenal repeated the feat, but it was only 6 years ago. Good enough for me! Correct +3
They also won the FA Cup the same season. Yes, but there is more to it than that to get the points. How they won it is important, for ever since, no team has come anywhere near repeating it!
(Arsenal tried in the 2003/4 season, but Mun U beat them in the Semi-Final.)

Got it in one, geggs.
When Preston North End won the FA Cup in the 1888/9 season, they did it without conceding a goal. A feat that still stands unequalled to this day!!
Arsenal came close in the 2003/4 season, but lost to Man U in the semi final.
A shiny +3 to you!!
I can put this to bed now!
Will score over the weekend.
Well done to all participants!
