McKay The Disorganised Posted Feb 28, 2010
I'm taken by the Karachi reference ~ not an Indian summer -
Would the British East India Company have any relevance ?

Keith.....
Please consult Clive on this.....
You may think you are giving clues.....
If you are, they are too tenuous........

OK I'll try and make the hints a bit broader then and see if that works.
(Could take awhile to get a replY from Clive).
> An original Life, Pringle's Cook mixed with Zozo's gums all contained in hundred year old groceries mixed with croquet balls:
In a Karachi summer no issued forth.
Something declined; what by whom? <
Right, Pebble was on the right track when he wrote this: > A guest at the dinner later recorded in his diary <
Someone said Pepys I said not him but your on the right track with a >>>>>>>>diarist <<<<<<<<
Zozo was the nickname of someone famous and I gave you a +1 and said "French+German though and royal connection doesn't necessarily mean a Royal does it."
One of the central figures in my QI met with Zozo near the end of his life and he was one of the most famous men in Europe at the time and we have worked out that that time is in the 18th century, the latter parts to be exact.
An original Life (note the second capital letter)
Pringle's Cook (note the second capital letter)
and Zozo
are all individuals who met with this central figure.
'original' is an anagram that Mr Ostrich suggested I might like to use
and unravelling it will assist you.
Does that help now?

Late 1700's....yes Taff
Not Napoleon but you have the right nationality so a +1 for that
(Zozo's nationality I mean).

No, not the revolution Taff, Zozo was dead before that happened but you mention Corsican and Corsica is connected with the person who met Zozo in a big way.
He was at one stage in his life known by the sobriquet 'Corsica somebody'
Read my 'hints' again and you might work out who he is

No Taff he wasn't a pirate.
Mckay,
" I must be losing my touch - the only sensible anagram I can find of original is
an oil rig"
No your not, it's I who have mucked up as Clive made the anagram from ' originals' not original and it slipped past me that one...I'm sorry about that.
