Blimey, it's dusty in here, have you all gone away on holiday?
B'el, struggling with the GRG, will think about it and have a go later
Did you have a good trip to London?

Hi folks, I reckon we need to liven up this place a little What is an anagram anyway?
Just passing through again, won't be back here for another few weeks tops as I'm going back down to sunny Bradford to be with my wonderful Yorkshire lass. So, I hope all is well with the regulars. I'll get back here when I can. Take care,
Artisan

Hi Arty - long time no speak
Glad to hear things are looking up. How are you being accepted in God's Own Country (Yorkshire)?
Did you read the James Herriot books? Now he was a Scot who moved to Yorkshire...
I've been a bit busy too - both RL, and here, where I now do Scouting for the Edited Guide.

It's quiet in here, isn't it ? I guess Arty has more or less left us for good
Hve you ever seen the James Harriot series ? It used to be a family feature, watching it on a Sunday afternoon when I was a kid

Yes I enjoyed the TV version (Chrstopher Timothy et al.) - it captured much of the spirit of the books. There was also a film version with Simon Ward and Anthony Hopkins, but that wasn't so good (although Hopkins was a good Siegfried Farnon).

It's weird, but I can't watch any films starring Anthony Hopkins since i once saw 'The silence of the Lambs' - that's 15 years ago now, and I spent most of the film with my eyes closed, but I still can't get rid of the pictures, the moment I see Anthony Hopkins, they're back

I never watched that one - it just never appealed to me as an entertaining subject for a film. From the clips I've seen, I can understand your reaction. He was much younger in ACGAS (1975 film).

I went to the movies with a friend - we just thought it was a thriller, never expected they'd visualise such disgusting and disturbing pictures. Another film that belongs into that category is 'Alien' and the sequels. I think I've never managed to see even the first part wholly, but husband is a big fan of the films and watches every repitition Knowing my luck, my next entry to sub will probably be 'Alien'

Icy North Posted Aug 3, 2006
Yes, the Alien films were very scary. I only saw the first one all the way through. Again, I wouldn't choose it as entertainment.
The entry was very well written - and not too long. Not a bad one to sub-edit!

I know, I've read it
I'll have to wait and see what will be next.
Have you seen, poor Trin still hasn't got his scout badge, he has been very patient so far. I wonder how long it will take him to get a reply

I'm sure they'll get around to it. The best thing he can do is start contributing in PR, and nurturing a few for when he can pick them.
Better not "talk shop" about PR here though - it will bore all the anagrammitis folk.

Yes, how dare you
Btw, I meant to say that I really like that Rainbow Stripe you added to your message center
- was it there yesterday ? I think I half noticed something had changed, but I couldn't tell when
Nice weekend ?
Icy North Posted Aug 3, 2006
Yes, I put that stripe there yesterday morning. Have you "borrowed" it yet?
