Oh, I think Pinewood Studeos has produced a few turkeys. Ever seen "The Old Dark House" or "Spiral Staircase"?
But I think everyone should read LeGuine's The Lathe of Heaven. It's about a man who changes the world randomly with his dreams.

TB: It was the film. Paul whatsisname took a good book and turned in into a CG travesty. Characters were distorted beyond belief. It wasn't even a long book!
