Fool of a Tiff (Appropriator of Carrots and Purveyor of Linty Goodness) Posted Feb 29, 2004
Film Merry and Pippin were much different than their book counterparts, but I grew to love them eventually. And Elijah Wood as Frodo was funny, even though he obviously wasn't meant to be.

At the start of the fellowship of the ring I was so worried Merry and Pippin would turn out to be like Fred and George from Harry Potter.... luckily they didn't, phew!

I know what you mean... I was like 'ACK! What have they done to them?!'
Fortunately, they didn't keep them as the only source for comic relief. They made poor Pippin a bit dimwitted in the first one... (Though I do think the cast did a great job with what they had. Billy Boyd made a great Pip.)

Yeah, poor Pippin. But he developed in the next two nicely, specially the third one. His singing! I almost cried!

Wow that sounds so funny! Kind of echoes with me, but me and my friend were saying, who would you have in your Chess set, or something like that...black is evil, white is good, Sauron's black king and Saruman's black queen, etc etc...it sounds fun!
So it *doesn't* matter what time you're online, right? Just checking.

No, its simple as hell. Imagine it as lotr meets sunday league football. No ones that fussed, its just a bit of a laugh before a pint down the pub.
Would you two like to be my test cases?
