I know, Tom Bombadil annoys me, I was so glad they didn't put him in the movie. I mean, the whole cross with his cheerfullness and the rst sorta works in the book, but in the movie the tense and hard and scary bits for the hobits are just starting, and some singing idiot goes and ruins all the feel.
