There's a new sandcastle being built over there...
*points*
...they're going to try and make it overshadow Mt. Sandcastle. I might help with the new one, but only after I've lain in the sun for long enough.
As for virtual sunscreen...I don't burn anyway, so I haven't got a clue.

*Immediately jumps into his (now naked) JCB, digs up a huge pile of sand, and dumps it on top of the new sandcastle forming a wonderful carapace (is that the right word?) complete with the personal touch of the towers on top*

*DD observes sandcastle and wonders why it appears to be a crab shell covered in towers*

Apparently, there's enough poison in a crab, to kill a crab.

To that I can only ask two questions:
1) Why does this not results in the crab's death?
2) How did anyone ever discover this?

The same reason that snakes don't poison themselves. Probably.

donuts?

I think the place you want is up on Mt. Sandcastle. This is the short-cut to the stall:

But if you want to have a look at the menu to see a few of the possibilities then go to
http://www.h2g2.com/A254378
where you can also order your donut.
And as an afterthought, may I extend a warm welcome to you from all of us here on the beach (because some people are too busy either sunbathing/sleeping or playing with JCB's to do it themselves).

*Looks up from working on JCB*
Good for you Justin.
*Returns to fiddling with the engine to try and make it have stealth capability*

*E is very worried that DD may have found a way to give the JCB stealth capability...*
I don't mind going for donuts if anyone wants any...just ask and I'll pop over to Joanna's and be right back.
*Sits down on beach with her back against a tree and tries to revise biology...*

*DD is still struggling with stealth technology wishing he'd studied something useful at Uni rather than Economics*

Demon Drawer Posted Feb 3, 2000
No it's all about economies of scale or the law of diminishing returns or something. I should be able to give this JCB stripped bare some form of stealth ability. For does not labour add value and if I labour over this problem there will be value in the solution.

You forgot the laws of comparative advantage, someone else is probably better at it than you, let them do the work whilst in return you write lots of new guide entries

I do must of my writing at weekends. It's easier to get this machine then. Mind you tomorrow I'm looking at my own potential pad to rent. I'll have to sort out a modem pretty quick if I get it.

You will. It wouldn't be the same here without you...for one, I wouldn't have to worry about that JCB...
