Continuity states that you can throw it at me, but I must determine if it hits me or not.
*it doesn't*

(Do you think we should get continuity? [I know you're not a member])

The Corrupt One Posted Feb 2, 2004
Well, it makes things more fun, it's just tricky to get used to it at first. But if you take a look at some of the quests I've got characters on at the moment, you can get the idea of how interesting things can get. There was one that Affy started a while back that's so huge I wouldn't know where to drop you in, but there's a smaller one going on here: F1709137?thread=360527 ...well, among other places. And you can still have things that seemingly come out of 'nowhere'; just have somewhere for them to come from, like NYC's Mayhem, Inc. (A2084500) and my own Corrupt's Intergalactic Artifacts (A2042533)... that last happens to be the place that Kalia came from, as well.
Oh, and you're welcome to find your way to Hawaii, if you like... I haven't yet thought of how to convince the characters away from there. Seriously now, can YOU think of a good reason to leave Hawaii for some snowy HQ?

Well well well, comrades! I see you can't handle anything without me around... GB, have you actually been talking about CONTINUITY? Here? No, no way. I'm not gonna let that happen!
*goes some posts back and makes the snowball hit GB in the face anyway*
Sorry about that, but I hope this will cool you down.
And to stumped -
You still haven't answered my accusations about:
a. Acting like my big brother (like he acted when we were younger, anyway)
b. Taking the fun out of the battle by insisting on using a mode that, at least to my eyes, seems to be a we-always-win-because-we-have-super-duper-fancy-weapons-that-will-kick-your-ass-and-even-if-you-have-super-duper-weapons-too-then-we're-immune-to-them-and-we-use-our-super-super-duper-weapons-that-will-definitely-kick-your-ass-ergo-we-win-again-so-there mode.
What say you?

a) That's because we ARE Big Brother, and
b) We've accounted for all our weaponry on other forums and other pages - explaining how we acquired them, produced them, etc, and never ended a battle with more items than we started with. You, on the other hand, tend to fall under the category of "we made this @#*$ up five seconds ago because it happened to be most convenient for the situation." Sight-gags are one thing, but chutes to Hawaii that automatically propogandize to their victims while destroying their weapons... well, that's just plain #$%* silliness.

I think that you should really think about it before you decide to go for Continuity. I mean, you could still retain the basics of insanity, but you couldn't, say, have an infinite number of monkeys leap from behind a tree to pummel someone anymore.
At a certain point, Continuity'll probably be the way to go. But for the moment, you may honestly prefer the sheer insanity that you started this business for. They're two different types of fun. Kinda like the difference between Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. Both are immensly enjoyable, but one's more clear cut and the other more abstract.
Oh, and once you get Continuity, it's tough going back. I don't look back often, but I do once in a while. Normally only when I get ticked off at people and really wanna hit 'em with a pie, but it does happen sometimes.
BTW, in regards to it being a bunch of "Haha, you aren't allowed to hit us, but we're allowed to hit you with our better weapons" thing, it might look that way based on some of the stuff here, but there're currently a small troop of soldiers in Hawaii and seven downed Scuttler ships that say otherwise.
Key: Complain about this post
