Well, it might just be me being cynical here, but I actually don't like doctors coming up with cures for everything. The world is over-populated as it is. The problem, of course, would be that if doctors were hindered in aiding, this would strike the 3rd world the hardest.
Anyhoo, we shouldn't be more than about half the amount of people on this planet than we are today, probably less...
Oh! Look at the time! Must dash. Lunch-hour

You're touching a dangerous topic there, One-Eye. I prefer to be a bit more optimistic. With new breakthroughs in agriculture, biolog, astronomy etc. I belive we will be able to feed still billions, and at some point even take to the stars... We're having a bit of a problem treating everyone on this planet nice, right now, but I belive that someday humanity will become humane enough to do the right thing.

That is a very nice thought, JAR.
One-eye. Get stuffed I need medicine.
*drinks Ping's soup, and feels....better. A bit*
Ah, Thank you most kindly.

*back from lunch*
Sorry Sol, wasn't specifically referring to your case there...
I hope, of course, that the developments you speak of will take place, and that there will be adequate housing, healthcare and food for all people on the planet, and all there is to come. But I just can't see it happening. There is a total lack of political will to actually do something but anything concerning the environment. Just look at the recent climate-convention in Haag. That didn't go particularly well...
IIEM, another coffee please!
*takes out , passes it around*

Ignore him, JAR. He's feeling jaded.
*takes chocolate. Eats chocoltate. Feels....better. A bit*
Well, between the soup and the chocolate, I feel just about well enough to get back out there. See y'all.

JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?) Posted Nov 29, 2000
Good luck then Sol!
One-Eye: I know things are looking ugly, but Humanity has allways been at its best when things have been at its worst. Whith the poles melted, half the world drenched and the other half drained, someone will come up with enough bright ideas to plunge us into a new age of splendor. You'll see.
Otherwise, we're done for.
The only thing we can do is stay optimistic and try our best to help wherever we can...
Jaded can be nice. At least Jade is a beutifull gem. And usefull too... Can be shaped in many ways.

Yup. I hope you're right
I'm thinking I might have my hands full with one discussion with you at a time...
You don't want no ?
Coz if you don't send, it back to me; I'd love some more

While we are being contraversial
Murder the Pope!
Ok perhaps not that extreem but there is nothing wrong with Medicine! It is the lack of prophylactics that is at fault. Perhaps if the Catholic Church encouraged it's use and western govt spent money producing free handouts to Indonesia & India & South America (they don't have to be great quality even). This will save the same govts having to shell out on expensive drugs to cure the various related diseases.
There is no problem living forever as long as you only have approximately two children in your life.

Murdering the Pope wouldn't do anything good. They would only come up with another. Anyways, the present one has been rather progressive, as far as Popes go...
You know how they elect a new Pope? It's rather amusing....
Ah, yes. Birth control in poor parts of the world... I found it sad when I heard Mother Theresa (a woman I deeply respect, allthough I have nothing good to say about her religion) was teaching the people of India how evil birth control was. She never realized that birth control was a very important way of avoiding over-population... People need to broaden their (and mine, please) perspectives..
By the way, Hi Proper Ganda! How are you?

Bumblebee Posted Nov 29, 2000
Hi Props
Are there any more left?
One of the things I have learned to truly hate in this world is bad quality condoms.

Good point about the Pope I guess I can cancel my bid for that "Nazi Memorabilia Grenade" on Yahoo.
Apparently there have been much worse popes in the history of Pope'ing
There was once a women pope until some one pointed it out.
(I'm all for feminism and such)
There was also a Pope famous for his prefference of young boys.
How about the Pope that prayed for a swift Nazi Victory?
Could you pass the Cinnamon powder, this Hot Chocolate is tastless.

Bumblebee... That knittingmonster you have at home... It hasn't something to do with low-quality condoms, has it?

Oh, oh... *looks at Bottle of Alborg*
*swallows*
Somebody has to tell... This is really a non-alcohol establishment... I'd be happy to have some, but it must be somewhere else, though...
Darn! Everything broke down... I'll have to reset..
*wonders if this'll come through*
