Oh dear... Looks like I feel asleep in the middle of my Sulphated Ash. I'll just have to start all over again then...
Oh, and good mornin' to you all!
IIEM, coffee please!
*takes out VPB and wraps it around the fog, resulting that the fog disappears, making a table full of lab-equipment visible. Then proceeds to crawl inside the VPB, lights cigarette, and says:*

Hi all!
? Yes, please!
Very odd, local weather here today... sunshine and clear skies when I left home, but when I arrived at work, I could hardly see anything at all, thick fog (One-eye, you didn't happen to be visiting yesterday?) covering the whole city center of Stockholm...
...and on the radio they just said that one of the airports north of the city is closed because of fog... zero visibility...

JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?) Posted Nov 16, 2000
You're welcome.
But no, I've never read Sweet Thursday. I've read Sweetwater, but that's not the same. Who wrote it? What's it about? Any good?

Freedom Posted Nov 16, 2000
Sweet Thursday was written by John Steinbeck, and you should read it - but you should read Cannery Row first. Very good books, both of them. It's about a bunch of people living in Monterey, California, in the 1930's or 40's perhaps (not quite sure, but most of Steinbecks stuff takes place around that time). I loved the characters.
Is there any more ?

JAR (happy to be back, but where's Ping?) Posted Nov 16, 2000
Oh, of course!
*puts the entire on the counter so anyone can take at own leisure*
I'll write that down, and one day, when I have time to read once again, I'll check it out. I can't help but love the 30's. Especially the hats.
