Howdy Bab, where is your weekend going?

*Finds a dusty old backgammon board in the corner. Dusts it off and places it on his table, next to his already refilled coffee mug.*
What a most excellent discovery! And the service here is remarkable! I have the feeling that this is going to be a wonderful day.
Anyone care for a casual game?
*Buries himself in a good book of short stories and sips his coffee while waiting for a reply *

Towards Monday, Val. Towards Monday, as per.
Lucky me gets to work until 8am (BST), go to bed for 6 hours. get up at 3pm and veg for a whole 9 hours, go to sleep again, and then have to be back in work for 2pm on Monday again. See what i mean? And after 8am (6 hours and 10 mins time) That will be me off h2g2 until 4pm (or later on Monday). Depression. More coffee required, (along with more at the F&F)
*gets another coffee*
Hi Wowbagger, sorry I don't do draughts. I am hopeless at it
What about you Val? any good?

Wowbagger, my main man. Well met.
Ook, the resident blue orang-atang is a deft, unbeaten, hand at backgammon I believe.
Do you know much about this little occurance in your hometown?
"An agitated prize bull which escaped from Brisbane's showgrounds into a nearby street was finally pacified by a herd of fibreglass cattle."
Sips tea.

I must apologise wowbagger, I said draughts and meant backgammon. ( a game I am even worse at than draughts, so the original answer must stand, sorry).
Hi loony, how's the southern hemisphere this sunday?
Interesting concept Val, never played horseshoes before. Though i think I could be ok at it. Perhaps we should go to the woods next week and set up a spike? I'll ask Lil if Ferrari has any old shoes we could use.

Just another day in paradise Babel. Blue sky, warmish weather, coldish beer - and my rugby team won yesterday.
It doesn't get much beter than this

I'll use a pseudonym to vote on your behalf. You'd probably prefer that to giving me access to your user profile.
*goof suprises himself. that made sense.*

Nice one Loony. Ah for a cold beer about now. Such is the nightshift and W*** in general. Just when I want to have a beer, i need to go to work! Especially as we had people round for dinner this evening, and they are all knocking back the beer, and I am sitting there going 'No thank you, I need to drive to work in a bit'
That's 2 evenings in a row. I hate shifts at weekends

It should work. You can even stick a false return address into your email software of you don't want to let your real address out (I wouldn't) How come you are going to be out of contact for the vote? Does your Experiment end before then?
