Procurement : a word describing a very complicated chain of events. ie:
Some guy decides "I need a new PC"
he then phones another guy ( at our co) who sits in "buziness development"
Guy #2 Phones a gal in "Procurement", she orders the new PC from the suppliers
The gal then phones me ( also in Procurement)
I then phone one of my drivers and tell him "Get your ass to the supplier and collect the guy's pc.
I then create an invoice and send that to a gal in "AR"
Then I tell another driver "go give that guy his new pc.

That in a nutshell is procurement.

Last time I was in a Chem lab, my Lab coat was at the dorm, and I spilt 45% diluted H2SO4 all over my jeans.

You mean your ex-jeans?
Sulphuric acid is quite on the heavy side!

Yep, at first the damage were'nt that bad and I thought I'd still make a fashon statement on campus.....

Then I washed the jean...

And ended up with berely more than a lot of belt loops end soem studs.

Mornin' (for me, anyway), ZOE and one-eye.

Update on darling daughter: It's a garden variety ear infection, not the dreaded "swimmer's ear". So, 10 days of oral antibiotic and she can still participate in swim meets while she recovers.

When I went to college, me and my roommate used to "decorate" our lab-coats with silvernitrate, potassiumpermanganate and other strongly coloured chemicals. At the end of the year our coats were quite colourfull

Our teachers weren't that happy 'bout it though...

We also did that, and mine had hole on the left elbow, got to near a bunsen burner.

Ouch...
Never done that, think I'll try not too..

I did however, a couple of months ago, forget too put on my gloves before take something out of an oven at about 800 degrees Celsius...
That was HOT!!

Been fun sharing lab-experiences, but I've gotta go now.

Is that Mr.smith or Babel, I fear my sight isnt quite awake yet and their height is so similar.
*sees a stranger asking for a drink.
I dont believe ive had the pleasure yet...(I can still be polite this early in the morning, now that says something!!)

*drags herself out of the couch*

*take the cup over to the upright piano and plays a little sonata while the tea cools*

*finishes up the piece, rigs up the player piano apperatus to play ragtime, and takes her now cool tea back over to the couch.*

thought the ragtime might wake me up a bit, and im not very good at playing the syncopated melody.

maybe it will 32, but i think ill be napping through the afternoon sun. (recalles the excitement from last nite) I think i was up the latest last night, or the furthest east. (same thing )
