Hi, Babel! Sorry...I knew you were there but I've been rambling around like a displaced soul and work on RL company billing at the same time. Fortunately I'm the boss...

I just had a deeply scary experience. I was at the Atelier saying something to Babel when all of a sudden my cookie must have crumbled and h2g2 suddenly began presenting alabaster screens telling me to register before I could post.

So I went back to my user page and discovered that Researcher 81931 hasn't had time to write her home page yet! I had to run home and change my jeans

Methinks h2g2 has a bad case of the Time Zones: so far as I can make out, this happened to us at midnight BST.

Well, Phil had mentioned today about them not synchronising the servers to the correct timezone hence the gitch with post timings just after the upgrade. no doubt there will be a few posts to the effect that we all appeared to discorporate at midnight

Seems to have been an epidemic... I had the same thing happen. Nothing scarier than having a home chock full of stuff and discovering it empty and your key doesn't work. My ship was gone, the cats, everything... and I was just a number. But I went away for an hour, came back and it was all there again

At the time I was in the process of adding a banner to my home page promoting Goo over Alabaster, which I succeeded in getting up now.

Definitely time for some coffee. May I have some, please? And is there any cake left? I was starting to eat a piece when I was booted off, and I can't find it here anywhere.

The sad thing is that all newcomers will be given alabaster automatically, so now I have to look at all my graphics and find a way to make them look good either way.

Actually the alabaster reminds me of what it was like here just when it started up, pre-goo! Well over a year ago.
