Caretaker Conversation Part 4

First year uni exams. And thank you for not asking, BS. They're all majorly horrific, but there's the slight possibility that I might have passed, if I'm very lucky with the mark weightings. Trouble is they don't tell you how much each part of a question is worth. So I don't know exactly how badly I did.
And anyone who tells me that I probably didn't do nearly as badly as I think is treading a very fine line.. don't do it.

*laisy saunters in warily
*stretches up to IIEM and selects hot choccy with small amount of whipped cream
*looks at bagels and toffee donuts and wonders if they are the cause for the bad taste in her mouth
Hi Ook...
Ook:ook
Tell me Ook, when I was last in, did you kiss me while I was sleeping?
Ook:ook
I didn't think it was you. You would have woken me with your beard.
*laisy picks up hot choccy and heads for the table by the open window and snoozes in the sun..

Hi everybody, have you got what you want from the IIEM. somat, there are good medical schools in the USA, plus you get the chance to learn about gunshot wounds, which you don't really get in the UK.

Cool
Slarty, is there room at that scrabble table for one more? I just spent the last hour memorising my set text poems- 'The dwarf, with his hands on backwards, sat slumped like a half filled sack on tiny twisted legs from which sawdust might run....

Egad! Who wrote that?
OK, that's two mugs declared. Garius has a deep blue mug tiny the moon and twinkling stars, and Somat has a silver holographic mug ... what is it a holograph of?
If we get a decent mug collection, when Irv comes back maybe we can post a painting of the mugs.

Hi Summat,
Can I have a cold mineral water please?
Ooh it came in a mug with pictures of Tony Blairs kids on it!
Strange.... mineral water is usually sold in glasses or by the bottle!

Why does the Dwarf have his hands on backwards?
Is that his right hand on his right arm backwards, or his right hand on his left arm?
Caretaker Conversation Part 4
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted May 22, 2000
*makes a note of Slarty's mug*
Very nice, too. Commemmorative, you might say.
Now Somat, about the dwarf...
Caretaker Conversation Part 4
<somat_witty> Posted May 22, 2000
the holograph is pretty cool- its a picture of a holographic mug which has on it a picture of a holographic mug which has on it..... (get the point?)
Ok, the dwarf, well, in the poem its used to help indicate the poets disgust at the hypocrisy of the church and organsied religion- powerful stuff really
Assisi (Norman MacCaig)
The dwarf with his hands on backwards
sat, slumped like a half filled sack
on tiny twisted legs from which
sawdust might run,
outside the three tiers of churches built
in honour of St Francis, brother
of the poor, talker with birds, over whom
he had the advantage
of not being dead yet.
A priest explained
how clever it was of Giotto
to make his frescoes tell stories
to reveal to the illiterate the goodness
of God and the suffering
of his son. I understand
the explanation and the cleverness.
A rush of tourists, clucking contentedly,
fluttered after him as he scattered
the grain of the Word. It was they who had passed
the ruined temple outside, whose eyes
wept pus, whose back was higher
than his head, whose lopsided mouth
said Grazie in a voice as sweet
as a childs when she speaks to her mother
or a birds when it spoke
to St Francis
