The Case of the Missing Battlestar
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Jan 23, 2000
::Whipes Brow:: Well, I finally finished pouring about fifty Usuals, and guess what?? They're all still perfectly warm, so here, everyone who ordered one (Some of you ordered several) can have one. The band wants a break, though. I've brought in a string quartet to play the Grinny Grin of the Greebo while I pour Greebo her milk, and over in the corner I've actually orchestrated a reunion of Jefferson Airplane so that they can play "White Rabbit" as I mix the hot chocolate for the Mad Hatter. Everything is getting a bit Alice in Wonderlandy here... I suppose next I'll ressurect John Lennon, heal George Harrison's chest wounds, locate Ringo, and pull Sir Paul away from a veggan breakfast so that we can have a rendition of "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" while we all chant "Usual"...

If you had this clientele, you'd be very tired too.

Beatles Action? Irving and I are, I think, the most Beatles obsessed, other than The Man on The Flaming Pie, of course.

I believe that Saffire is refering to my promise to reunite all four Beatles for a concert to accompany my next drink mixing...

Yes - he's been in your cafe too... Hasn't written much so far, but what he says is brilliant. Search for him!

I just became aware of him the other day on Sandcastle Mountain. Hey, while I'm here, I think I'll have a DOUBLE "usual". Okay, fine, I'm not nearly that evil. So, when are you going to reunite the Beattles again?
The Case of the Missing Battlestar
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Jan 24, 2000
As soon as I locate the spell...

A triple usual is just what John needs to get up and playing again. Let me whip that up and we'll see what happens...
