The H2G2 Aroma Café: Come and Rest your Mind

*ahem*
I'm quite offended seeing as how I am a NE US Researcher, and I love the people involved with it, and we are planning on having a meet in my hometown of Boston next summer.
Blue java, IIEM.

Next summer, gosh, I've only been waiting like two years now. Plus Boston is hella far from me, why not NYC? That's much more centralized...

Yeah, I could tell...
I have no idea why they chose Boston and not NY. I just stopped by one day, offered to be their man in Boston, and that was that.
Er,
Want a hug? It tends to make people less bitter...

Hey, everyone, I...
Oh, wow. This must be the part of the backlog that has no one but YP and Ioreth posting for several hours. How'er things over in the far East, you guys?

Filled with wonderful things like inhumane hours of homework, but also sailing down the Charles river, so I guess things of late haven't been too bad. Unless, of course, my boat had capsized and I would have fallen into the murky waters of the Charles, which would have then led me to hospitalization.

How are things down south?

Homework is finally being done here too, as it's the last day of my five day weekend, and probably the last time I'll spend (more or less) a full day online either.
*accepts hug, although she's actually bitter about the homework and only mock bitter about the meetup*

Mock bitter, eh?

You know, when I first became involved with h2g2 this past summer (although I had arrived eight months before then), everything I wrote was a work of art, in the sense that I really put a lot of effort into making my postings and replies brilliant. Now my postings have turned into slapstick s**t. I don't mean to curse, but honestly, what's wrong with me?! I've lost the magic!
Ah, well...

I also used to be very concerned with crafting my postings so as to appear as little similar to the young unwise teenager I was/am. Now I'm moderately less of both, and also less concerned with appearing so. and sloppier by far

I don't think it is as much anymore. But what can I do besides just try to get some rest and maybe a bit of free time, allowing the creative juices to start flowing once more? By the way: You, and the rest of the regulars here at The H2G2 Aroma Cafe, are cordially invited to attend my first annual anniversary party at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F55404?thread=142157&post=1325596#p1325596 The party will be going on until the ball drops on the twenty-first, so do bring a loved one to kiss when it drops so that you will get good luck for the rest of the year. Hope to see you all there, Yossarian

Hey, everyone! Party at YP's!
I used to craft posts very carefully. Especially the Masque's (my evil-alter-ego). But now I only do that on the first post of a forum...
I can still be dramatic, though.

Why not do what I tried to to when I couldn't find any meet-ups anywhere in Scandinavia - organize one yourself!

I tried doing that for an Isle of Wight meet-up once...
...Alas, only I am from the Isle of Wight. So I'll try again when we have a few more regulars.
