That's happened to me too... I was one my way to get a power and when I got to the guild I didn't have enough money. I was so focused on moving I didn't even notice when I got robbed.
The only reason I know I was robbed and didn't just forget to withdraw the money (which I had done before) is because my bank account was down.

Up till now I never lost a large amount of coins. Maybe I am lucky by playing while most of the USA sleeps. I very seldom see anyone moving.
And being on broadband helps too
But I was sweating with 30000+ in my pockets running towards a discount

I did panic a bit when I tried to buy my T3 and was told that I didn't have any coin... Fortunately it was not due to someone having stolen my 10000 coins...
I just hadn't clicked on "withdraw" at the bank...
For T2... Somehow my maths didn't add up properly that day...
I had some coins on me already, so I didn't need to withdraw all my 5000 coins...
Unfortunately, I was so much in a hurry that I miscalculated the amount I needed to withdraw and only realised my mistake when it was too late and, of course, I ran out of APs...
Two
s [one of them being called Abinormal
] must have thought that Christmas had come early this year when they found out the amount they stole from me...

Congratulations Mort!!
My two pires are in shadows at the moment. I'm letting them rest while I recover a bit. I'll probably be better this weekend as I've already been able to start taking my meds again.
My very first order of business this weekend (I get to stop my special diet tonight) is to eat my weight in seafood, which wasn't allowed on the diet. Then top it off with an ice cream, which also wasn't allowed, the second there's room for it.

I was going to moan that, since I've got T3, I was getting less coins than before out of my victims... But as I've got over 2900 coins from one poor [well, definitely poorer now ]
today, I won't...
That means that I've now got more than enough for two other powers level 1...
I've got my eyes on Telepathy level 1... Should be fun to send telepathic messages to my fellow s methinks...
I haven't decided about the other one yet...

Actually I think telepathy is a bit overrated and expensive to use.
You may do better by aiming for Surprise, Suction, Celerity and/or Stamina. Don't try Stamina if you are under 600 blood, or your max AP will go down very much when you loose the 500 blood.
Suction takes about 15 minutes for the quest if you get Stamina first (and have the AP of course).

I agree.. I go for the "active" powers before going for the "passive" ones now with my secondary, HootooBat. She's got all levels of and has suction, stam1 and cel1. I'm going for surprise next then stam2, cel2, stam3, cel3, and finally telepathy and locate levels.
Batty is already working on her passive powers. Plus she's stocking up on SoTurns and SoTels to do some philanthropic work along with The COVE's pires and the Men In Blue.

I have Second-sight, Suction, Surprise, Celerity(1) Shadows(1) Thievery(2)
Currently saving up for shadows 2 (nearly got it)
I don't think much of second sight. I keep pressing clicking on the vamps name by mistake instead of 'move here' and waisting APs
I like the surprise one as it means I don't get blocked out of blue squares. Although I donated and 'bought' that one

I do the same with second sight. When I first got it I think every second 'move' was an accidental peek into a s wallet.

Mort, better go for Thievery(3) first, it really gets you much more coins. And get Stamina, to increase your max AP.

Oh flip, when i went for T2 I must have misread it.
I thought it said you need to know more about shadows to advance in theivery. So I went back and got shadows 1 and then had to go and save for T2 (being robbed on the point of purchase ). So I thought I had to get S2 before T3.
That changes things completely!!
Thanks for that info Marjin

It's just that they are bought at the same guilds... I always save shadows for last since I usually play every day (except recently obviously).

, Stamina it will be then...
Like Batty I don't really have any use for the shadows...
7089 coins in the bank right now... At least, if I get robbed while on my way to the Guild, that won't delay me too much as I will still have enough coins left to try again straight away...

I see no one has hit this thread for a while...
Powers: Second-sight Suction Surprise Celerity(3) Stamina(3) Shadows(2) Thievery(3) Locate(2) Telepathy(2) Charisma(1)
Das Y'all's granny (well, other than those who struck out on their own).
Personally I like the Celerity, Suction and Theivery best of all. Celerity, of course, because I can get more moves done in a day, since I regenerate faster. Surprise is good, too, and of course stamina. What guild has charisma? I got it through another donation, as I needed all level ones to up Stamina to a 3 (didn't feel like losing all that blood - the 1000 for S(2) was enough).
As has been mentioned, when first getting second-sight, I found it was a bit of a trick to not get caught clicking the wrong links. It's not really all that useful, as (afaik) you can't see how much they're carrying, but it is rather nifty if you're doing a genealogy search.
